It took hackers under 25 minutes to break into the studio behind the new Wolverine game and steal the whole thing. They dumped over a million files online, before the game was even finished. Sony refused to pay them. Insomniac finished it anyway. It comes out September 15.

This all started in December 2023, when a group of hackers called Rhysida got into Insomniac's computers. They took more than 1.3 million internal files and asked for around $2 million in Bitcoin to keep quiet. Sony said no. A week later, the hackers posted almost all of it online, free for anyone to grab.

The leak laid the whole studio bare. Out came early footage of the Wolverine game, the full story, and their plans for the next ten years, including a secret Venom game and another Spider-Man game. There was the private contract with Marvel, too. And the worst part for the people who work there: their passport scans, home addresses, and HR files, all out in the open.

The contract even set a release deadline. Wolverine had to ship by September 1, 2025. It's now coming out September 15, 2026. So everyone knew the studio's own deadline more than a year before they missed it, because a stranger had already posted it online.

For a few days, Insomniac said nothing. Then they put out a short note. They were heartbroken and angry, they said, and they had spent that week just looking after each other. They also said that "like Logan," they would keep going. Other studios stood up for them. The team behind God of War posted support. The studio behind Control called the leak of people's private details shameful.

Then they got back to work. On a game the entire internet had already pulled apart, frame by frame. This is the same studio Sony bought in 2019 for $229 million, the people behind Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank, and the old Spyro games. Finishing what they start is sort of their whole thing.

The version that leaked in 2023 was half-finished, stolen, and shown to the world against their will. The one you can play on September 15 is the version they wanted you to see all along.

I’ve gotta be honest…

I’ve really loved this season of ‘THE BOYS’. There have been so many complaints online and I’ve genuinely never understood them. Maybe my expectations have just been reasonable and logical, but I’ve been having a blast with every episode! Sure, there are a handful of events I’m gonna NEED next week to feel satisfied and happy with the finale/season as a whole, but Episodes 1-7 have been nothing but great for me!

I am beyond excited for that Series Finale 4DX Event next week!!!!
