@SpawnPoiint Its not about where sales come from. Frankly put i don't care if playstation takes a loss on sales because of physical copies, they make more than enough. In the end decision making like this is only focused on being anti consumer and removing buying power from the consumer.

@RinoTheBouncer The digital on pc is more of a choice. I could always buy through gog for the offline launcher. Corps trying to force no physical sale is just anti consumer. It is another step towards you lease everything and own nothing.

@SuperButterBuns I built my current pc back in November 2023 and it cost me about 2.3k for a high end. The same pc would probably cost closer to 3.7k or more. Its insane how much inflation has ruined pc pricing.

@MeyerRants With the state of xbox and Microsoft this is more of a far off dream. Definitely not saying to buy a steam machine, but rather just wait until the pc market gets better because it will eventually get better.

@JakeSucky You can't make a pc with the exact same form factor for much cheaper. Steam machine is a pc even if it has some issues that have to get fixed. Making a 6" volumetric cube computer isn't possible without complete custom modding of the components.

@Niflheimm155983 There are people who didn't understand what steam machine was from valve's trailer and still don't understand now. It was always about quality, small form factor, and subtlety. Valve isn't worried if people don't want to buy it.

@alphafox Valve isn't just buying any gpu and cpu they can get they're buying from manufactures to make steam machine. Gamers nexus already has a great breakdown and notes the overhead is only around $100. Yeah it sucks but valve prefers quality assurance and console size.

@hagooomi A more convenient platform of hardware for someone who wants pc type gaming but in a console style form factor. Think someone who wants a pc but refuses to use an actual pc.
