THE TRUTH:

In March 2025, the President signed an Executive Order ‘Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History’, to ensure that monuments, memorials, statues, markers, and similar sites managed by the Department of the Interior present American history in a way that avoids distortion or misinterpretation. It requires the Sec. of the Interior to REVIEW public comment changes made since January 1, 2020, and identify whether any alterations MISREPRESENT history or diminish the importance of certain figures or events. If such cases are found, the Secretary must, where legally possible, restore the original versions. The section also directs that public displays should not include content that unfairly criticizes Americans, past or present. Instead, the emphasis should be highlighting the achievements and progress of the nation. For natural landmarks, the focus must be on the beauty and abundance of the American landscape. In short, this Executive Order is intended to promote a positive and consistent portrayal of American history and heritage. NOWHERE IN THE ORDER DOES IT SAY TO REMOVE INFORMATION ON SLAVERY.
