The greatest freedom ever given to man was paid for in pure and holy blood of Jesus. It was a sacrifice born in divine love—and it was given as a free gift to us all, because our Heavenly Father decided that our personal freedom was worth the price. That freedom is worth celebrating every day.
No one volunteers for suffering. But look closely and you'll find it teaches what comfort can't — how to lean fully on God, and how to give thanks in the middle of the hard. "Suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope" (Romans 5:3–4). The pain isn't wasted. It's working.
"When Christ came into the world, He did not come simply to be born. … His primary purpose was to die; to shed His blood as a substitute in your place and my place." —Billy Graham

Read the headlines long enough and it can feel like darkness is winning. It isn't. The final page is already written. "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). The middle chapters may be hard, but the ending is sure — God wins, and so do those who are His. Hold onto that today.
"It is small wonder ... the Bible has always been the world's best-seller! No other book can touch its profound wisdom, its poetic beauty, or the accuracy of its history and prophecy." —Billy Graham
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Chuck unpacks that invitation in three words: immediately, repeatedly, boldly. You don't have to wait until you've pulled yourself together, and you don't only get one shot at it. Whatever has worn you thin today — bring it, and be at rest.
God loves you. God made you. He knows everything about your life. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ from Heaven to this Earth to save us. #ThursdayThoughts
