Giannis trades-
-To BKN for E Demin, T. Mann, Traore, #7 pick, BKN 1sts in 28, 30, 32, NYK 29’ 1st, NYK 31’ 1st
Demin a very intriguing prospect at 6’10” with some ball skills. PG @ 7, plus Demin, Rollins and a ton of future picks. Rebuild off and running.
This was a terrible deal the minute it was signed. He was a buyout guy 5 months earlier plus Rockets already had Eason, Amen, Jabari Smith Jr. Just never made sense how he’d fit.
The Rockets signed Dorian Finney-Smith to a four-year, $52.7M deal after the Lakers opted not to retain him in free agency last summer.
Finney-Smith has been a non-factor in the first-round series against the Lakers and will surely be placed on the trade block this offseason.
@TiWindisch Just wait until they try to convince you 260 lb, 33 yr old FVV coming off torn ACL and 38 yr old KD are going to put them over the edge next season
BREAKING: The Milwaukee Bucks and Taylor Jenkins are finalizing a deal to make Jenkins the franchise's new head coach, sources tell me and @ramonashelburne. Jenkins, a Bucks assistant in 2018-19, went 250-214 and made three postseasons across six seasons in Memphis.
Bucks need Cooper Flagg to step on a banana peel and be out the rest of the game vs Chicago to tie for seeding for draft pick. Chicago loss, Bucks drop to 10. Chicago win, then CHI and MIL coin flip for 9.
Giannis, twice this yr, strained his calf, could barely walk and spent a bench of time on injury report.
Say this yr meant something and we’re contenders, same happens and he pushes thru to end of season an ruptures his Achilles, everyone would be pissed he didn’t rest more.
That little Bucks hot streak in February going 8-2 really screwed themselves. They’re stuck in the 9/10 pick range with no way to go up. 9 and 10 have a nearly equal 17% chance to get top 4 and 3.7% chance of #1.
The 8th worst record jumps to 26.3%/6%.
Hope it was worth it.
It’s a damn good thing he hit this because he beat his defender so badly he had to slow up to let the defender get in front of him to hit the step back and avoid the lane that’s clogged up by *squints* Christian Braun…
What incentivizes teams and players the most? Money. Look at the NBA Cup, players give a shit because they get real money for winning. Otherwise they wouldn’t care.
Pay teams and players for making the playoffs.
There’s growing support for a potential rule that would freeze NBA draft lottery odds at a certain point in the season, meaning losses after that date wouldn’t affect lottery positioning, per @KevinOConnor
The date could change each year and might not be revealed until after the season to discourage tanking.
