STREET FIGHTER was a blast! 👊🔥
This is probably the closest we’ve gotten to capturing the actual video game on the big screen. Explosive, over-the-top fights, awesome nostalgia, Easter eggs, a killer soundtrack, and those 2D animated sequences!
Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and Callina Liang deliver. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. But that’s the point! If you love old-school 80s/90s martial arts movies and some good old-fashioned dumb fun, you’re in for a treat!

Really enjoyed THE SOCIAL RECKONING. Very eye-opening seeing what was allegedly happening behind closed doors at Facebook, especially the manipulation involving Instagram and its impact on kids.
Jeremy Allen White was excellent, Mikey Madison was great and Bill Burr was a standout. I just wish we got more Zuckerberg.
Better than The Social Network? No. But it’s a damn good companion piece and definitely worth watching.
8/10 🍿

#RESIDENTEVIL — REVIEW
Going into Resident Evil, the biggest question I had was simple: would this actually feel like Resident Evil? The answer is absolutely yes.
Zach Cregger isn’t adapting one particular game. Instead, he captures what it feels like to play one. There’s that constant feeling of moving deeper into a nightmare, discovering something worse around every corner, and barely having time to recover before the next threat hits. Cregger puts his foot on the gas and rarely touches the brakes.
What worked for me: The suspense, gore, action and creature design are fantastic. Some of the monsters have this wonderfully grotesque, Thing-esque quality that I loved. The movie gets nasty, weird and completely demented, but it never forgets that Resident Evil is fundamentally survival horror.
Austin Abrams is also the heart of the movie. With all the insanity happening around him, he gives the story someone you actually care about and root for. He’s terrific.
What didn’t work for me: There’s honestly not much. If I had one criticism, it’s that the third act feels slightly rushed. I would’ve liked the movie to slow down just enough to let some of those final moments breathe. But even then, it didn’t ruin the experience for me—the finale still delivers.
Coming off Weapons, Cregger once again shows how inventive he can be with horror. Most importantly, he understands something that video-game adaptations sometimes miss: you don’t necessarily have to recreate a game scene-for-scene. You have to capture the experience of playing it.
For me, Resident Evil does exactly that.
It’s the best Resident Evil movie to date and clearly one of the best video-game adaptations I’ve ever seen.
The volcano demands an offering.
Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Vincent Cassel, Ambika Mod, Sam Richardson, Jonatan “Yung Lean” Leandoer, Jade Croot, Miriam Silverman, John Malkovich, Charli xcx and Salma Hayek Pinault star in SACRIFICE. Directed by Romain Gavras.
Coming to Netflix in the US and France on October 16.
HOLY SHIT!!! #ResidentEvil has its foot on the gas from the opening scene and NEVER hits the brakes. Zach Cregger delivers relentless suspense, gloriously gory action, and some seriously twisted, Thing-esque creature designs.
Pure SURVIVAL HORROR and easily the best Resident Evil movie yet. Austin Abrams is terrific. I’ll do a full review tomorrow.
There’s something in the water.
Josh Hartnett, Charlie Heaton and Mackenzie Davis star in BELOW. A suspenseful new thriller set on the rugged coast of Newfoundland. Premiering October 8.
