@IndianTechGuide Companies are not going to be stop hiring. They will just move more of the work to India or go fully remote.

$100k+ just to bring someone in on an H-1B now.

idk how companies are gonna handle that🤔

[Polymarket @Polymarket]

JUST IN: Trump administration moves to impose a $103,265 fee on new H-1B worker visas, up from typical fees of roughly $2,000–$5,000.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

@markgurman Quick removal + quick fix = correct process.

Now the interesting question is whether every other app with similar user content gets the exact same treatment? 🤔

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

@claudeai Nice one! ☝🏻

Now I can finally teach Claude all my chaotic workflows and see if it survives 😅

Deploying code and releasing features don’t have to happen at the same time.

Feature flags let you ship safely, test gradually, and turn features on or off—without another deployment.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

A slow dependency shouldn’t keep your users waiting forever.

Timeouts let your system fail fast, recover sooner, and protect valuable resources.

Sometimes the best response is knowing when to stop waiting.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Not every scaling problem needs a bigger database.

Sometimes, you just need more readers.

Read replicas offload traffic from the primary DB, making read-heavy workloads much easier to handle.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

An API Gateway is more than a front door.

It’s where authentication, routing, rate limiting, and request transformation come together.

One place to simplify what every service shouldn’t have to handle alone.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Retries are necessary.

Retry storms are not.

Without exponential backoff and jitter, thousands of clients can hammer an already struggling service and turn a hiccup into an outage.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Strong consistency is comforting.

Scalability usually isn’t.

That’s why many distributed systems embrace eventual consistency.

The trick isn’t avoiding inconsistency.
It’s designing for it.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

One slow service shouldn’t take down everything else.

The Bulkhead pattern isolates resources so failures stay contained.

Because a leak in one compartment shouldn’t sink the whole ship. 🚢

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

One service going down shouldn’t bring down your entire app.

Graceful degradation keeps the essentials running, even when dependencies fail.

Users may lose a feature.
They shouldn’t lose the experience.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Indexes are like superpowers for queries.

But every superpower comes with a price.

Too few indexes and reads suffer.
Too many and writes pay the bill.

Balance is where performance lives. ⚖️

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Users double-click.

Networks retry.

Clients resend requests.

Idempotency keys make sure one action stays one action.

No duplicate charges. No duplicate orders.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Rate limiting isn’t a feature you appreciate on a normal day.

It’s the feature you’re grateful for when your API suddenly goes viral.

Because a little throttling is better than a complete outage.

[StackPilot @TheStackPilot]

Traditional databases tell you what the current state is.

Event Sourcing tells you how you got there.

Every state change becomes an event, giving you built-in audit trails and the ability to replay history whenever needed.
