Psychotherapist turned trader, turned vibe coder, turned developer.
Sleeping well since building @steadiedapp, a tool that improves any trader's performance.
The Fed hiked once.
The market priced it twice.
Wednesday, the hike meant more coming, and stocks sold.
Thursday, the same hike meant the Fed is serious, and stocks bought.
The print never moved.
The sentence around it did.
A sentence isn't a level. It's what you sized.
The 2000s brought the performance school. Trading got treated like a sport. Journaling, routines, deliberate practice, pattern recognition. First time anyone said the skill itself has to be trained, not just the belief. Most of what your coach does today descends from here. $NQ
Every blown account has a refusal story.
Refusal to accept being wrong โ moving the stop.
Refusal to accept boredom โ overtrading a dead tape.
Refusal to accept an unrealized gain โ cutting the winner early.
@jayson_casper The "when money is on the line" clause is doing the heavy lifting there. Load changes which responses are even available to a person, and the flaw everyone names afterward is usually just whichever one was left.
@basilda_a Underrated point. An audience gives you a second scoreboard, and that one updates faster than your P&L does. You end up trading the faster one without ever deciding to.
@TritonTrades@TradeZella Taking the break while you can still see clearly is the right call. The head usually clears a few days behind the decision, so don't read the first 48 hours as proof it isn't helping.
Around the same time, a second school arrived from the personal-development world. It named self-sabotage as the trader's core problem and tried to negotiate with the parts of you that wanted to lose. Its work on position sizing survived. Its psychology did not. $ES
The sabotage school of the late nineties got one thing right and one thing missing. Right: traders defeat themselves in patterned, repeatable ways. Missing: any account of why. It named the symptom, built a toolkit around it, and never went looking for the cause.
Steadied runs in the browser and installs to your phone. Same instrument at the desk and in your pocket, because the state worth checking follows you into the kitchen after a stop-out.
