It happened again, complete with Windows 10 temporarily breaking. I think we're averaging a power outage a week for the last five weeks. Seems a bit much.
My mom had me look at her computer because the internet was slow or not loading. I run through all sorts of solutions and it just turns out that Norton Security broke things... Again. It causes 90% of her problems but it's Microsoft security she doesn't trust.
I go to the farmer's market this morning and it's an absolute monsoon outside. The second I get home, the rain stops and the sun comes out. Figures, right?
Did a job reference call this week and had to go through an AI screener before talking to one person. I thought it was a new corporate cost saver. Turns out it's just a feature on new cell phones.
The timing changed but locals will tell you that Algoma has been open about reducing their workforce by half with the move to the electric arc furnace. They've been laying people off all year.
NEW - Algoma Steel says itโs laying off 1000 workers in Ontario, owing to Trump tariffs. This is despite
the Ford government extending a loan of $100 million to Algoma through its โprotect Ontario fundโ this past September. The federal government kicked in $400 million.
Shortening the field is going to have an off-field impact too. This resuces the value of many endzone and sideline seats because the end zones are moved 10 yards away from current seating.
It's like the CFL was hurt over the occasional TikTok joke about the rouge and decided to NFLize the Canadian game. Other than moving teams to opposite sidelines, there's not an undisputed positive change.

In anticipation of these structural changes, beginning in 2026, the rouge will be modified and adjustments will be introduced to ensure more consistent game flow.
I do feel bad for the poor social media person getting paid pennies compared to their bosses to deal with a torrent of abuse resulting from actions well beyond their control.
Some customers in Ontario and Quebec may be experiencing an Internet service interruption. We are working to restore service as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
I assumed my Bell Fibe home hub shat itself again (it's only a monthly occurrence) but a quick look on here shows that it's a nationwide Fibe blackout. That's @Bell_Support for you.
I just saw a house for sale with a "not haunted" sign. That wasn't the agency. The seller has gone out of their way to let you know that the house isn't haunted. What is going on there that people think it's haunted?
I don't know how people forget about fake spring. Every year, we get a mini-thaw in February before the snow makes up for it and then some. Our thaw ends today and it'll back to winter with a storm on the weekend.
