Adults are allowed to have fun. Play video games. Read sci-fi and fantasy. Watch horror movies. Buy superhero comic books. And if anyone tells you otherwise, tell them to grow up.
One of the random side quest jobs that I have is as a carnival game worker during the warmer months….
Hands down my favourite one 😂 it’s so fun & you meet such awesome people all day. I love seeing people get so excited when they win a prize
I *hate* having a regular schedule & doing the same job every day, so having side quests that are really different make my life feel so much more full.
It is a challenge sometimes because income REALLY varies heavily, but, I get to keep my sanity.

And if you want to experience the result in-game… the demo is available now 🎉
@Succubus_Ixill Aww thank you bb! Thankfully it’s on the side & not too bad at all. My scalp just gets very sore during a flare up, even if a lot of hair doesn’t fall out! :(
In case you didn’t catch it, the deep dive for everything we know about Fable so far is still up to view, along with the first portion of The Lost Chapters play through. We’ll be doing a lot of analysis over the coming months! I hope you’ll join me over on https://t.co/VzzTEWo7au
I just have a lot of love for #fable and a lot of respect for @WeArePlayground & their whole journey!
I’m curious, cautious, excited, & so optimistic about the future of the @fable franchise & #PlaygroundGames
For anyone that hasn’t played, it went from being able to choose expressions through a “wheel”, to only having two to choose from at a time & you can’t control which expression is next 😭🥺
Replaying *all* of the Fable games rn…
Just started a new hero on Fable 3 & I’m already so annoyed 😂💀
I pray they don’t include having to hold buttons for everything, & I’m excited to see expanded interactions come back again after the BS that is fable 3 expressions 😭
Hard agree!
I am very excited to have a horse/mount, though. As a girl that grew up with horses, they’ve always had a special place in my heart as companion animals.
Fable: The Lost Chapters:
- Better story
- Better characters
- Better gameplay
Fable II:
- Introduction of jobs
- Introduction of the dog
- Better real estate management
- Lets’s you choose Male or Female
- Introduction of cooperative play
The first two Fable games are special, and honestly it’s the second game that receives more praise. Ultimately, that makes sense. Fable II introduced several new series staples, was sold to an audience whose platform had a much higher install base and let you play online with your friends.
There’s also the preference some had for the more industrialized feel of the sequel, with its introduction of guns over the original fairytale setting of the first. While others like myself would have preferred the series stayed firmly rooted in that earlier fantasy time frame.
To me, I have always felt that the story and characters shine much brighter in the original game. The gameplay, while less refined is also more unique. Fable II’s is streamlined in a way that’s fun, but rarely feels different. Luckily, it feels like Playground’s Fable is trying to pull all of the best aspects of both.
We return to the fairytale/fantasy setting, the characters look truly inspired and the gameplay has more depth than Fable II’s one button approach. Having said that, Fable II’s iconic expansion of the real estate economy as well as the job system is back in full effect. Unfortunately, there won’t be a return of man’s best friend.
There’s a lot to look forward to in the new Fable game. I think now really is the time to make the audience for this franchise much larger. As far as Fable I and II are concerned, they’re both classics and you cannot go wrong with either.
