@Aodhanho@lil_doza He is free to speak freely. We are free not to listen, and we are also free to not have to put up with in our spaces. He can stand outside the pub and say whatever he likes. We can also say whatever we want back to him.
โThere is not in Europe any such thing as a pure race. Russians have an admixture of Tartar blood, Germans are largely Slavonic, France is a mixture of Celts, Germans, and people of Mediterranean race, Italy the same with the addition of the descendants of slaves from every corner of the Empire imported by the Romans. The English are perhaps the most mixed of all. There is no evidence that there is any advantage in belonging to a pure race. The purest races now in existence are the Pygmies, the Hottentots, and the Australian aborigines; the Tasmanians, thanks to the British, who were probably even purer are now extinct. There is a special absurdity in applying racial theories to the various populations of Europe.โ

@AceRimmerUK@MikaLongue@OwsWills@Pibydd In England.
Cymreag has equal legal standing in Cymru with English. Nothing to see here.
Meeting is held by British people in their first language that is recognised as an official language in Britain.
@johnbach70@LloydCymru I've emigrated to England, and every day something happens that makes me feel like I'm foreign. Little things, but enough to remind me that England isn't where I'm from and I'm an outsider.
Hi Russell, considering I am the only Labour Councillor on the authority and I was not at the induction (as I have been here 9 years), this is a complete lie and a breach of standards @reformexposed
@GergelyOrosz@thescottleese The lack of protections Americans get is insane. In Europe of you are letting people go this would only be the start of a process, that is legally mandated and would take weeks to conclude.
America is only the land of the free if you are the one who owns the corporation.
"The idea that the poor should have leisure has always been shocking to the rich. In the early nineteenth century, fifteen hours was the ordinary day's work for a man; children sometimes did as much, and very commonly did twelve hours a day. When meddlesome busybodies suggested that perhaps these hours were rather long, they were told that work kept adults from drink and children from mischief.
When I was a child, shortly after urban working men had acquired the vote, certain public holidays were established by law, to the great indignation of the upper classes. I remember hearing an old Duchess say: 'What do the poor want with holidays? They ought to work.' People nowadays are less frank, but the sentiment persists, and is the source of much of our economic confusion."

Also, if we push for net zero there would have been more crude available to crack for aviation fuel from the same level of supply.
Iโve spent years working in/around political campaigns (inc. with YesCymru in 2020/21) thinking hard about how narratives take hold, how opinions shift and how outcomes are shaped on the ground, by real people, having heartfelt conversations.
All told, this isnโt a hot take:
The school was sold off to a Hong Kong investment company 9 years ago because it didn't make any money, the company is closing it because it still doesn't.
@christwine3@SangitaMyska You brought up that example. Personally, if he identified as Cymru, adopted Cymru values and traditions he is welcome. If he doesn't integrate then he isn't Cymru. Like the English who buy up the homes where I'm from, they aren't Cymru and they aren't welcome.
@christwine3@SangitaMyska I'm pointing out that "belonging" is a construct What I know is Saxons born in London have done far more to damage my country than a Sudanese
But we have strayed from the point. You can be black and Welsh. That's not up for debate. You're now debating if recent immigrants can be
@christwine3@SangitaMyska Ah... Belonging is time based?
My family have been in Carmarthen as long as we can trace back. Do I count as Welsh?
I apply the "if you feel Cymry then you are" test rather than time based genetic purity tests.
