@seanstmllr .@settialessia analizza:

.@seanstmllr illustra:

🤓What to expect from the research stay? 👇
Happy to be in Konstanz this week for #KOMEX2023. Konstanz borders the Swiss city of Kreuzlingen. As a researcher on cross-border cooperation, I could not resist walking to a couple of customs offices along the border to observe what this segment of the 🇩🇪🇨🇭border looks like!
🇩🇪This week our PhD students @settialessia & @CarloEpifanio are in Constance for a Comparative Case Study Design course. Thanks a lot, @EvaThomann, for organising #KOMEX2023 & for the great tips about the research design of our projects on #CrossBorderCooperation#CityNetworking!

🍂🌧️Autumn has come and you're missing summer? We bring you back to our PhD student @CarloEpifanio's summer days.🇪🇸He spent a few weeks in #Barcelona working from @iec. Interviews with politicians and experts helped him identify the drivers of inter-city cooperation🤝
📸 The "Rise of the Sub" team finally got a group picture 🤩
This week also marks the beginning of the third year of doctoral studies for our @settialessia & @CarloEpifanio!

🤩I really enjoyed participating in the @igcoord panel on Cross-Border Cooperation - opportunities & threats. Two main takeaways: 1 Political will creates more opportunities for cooperation. 2 Different national administrative structures hinder cooperation beyond national borders
⛰️Thanks to a grant from @igcoord, our PhD researcher @settialessia spent one month in Bolzano/Bozen - the northernmost province in 🇮🇹, bordering 🇦🇹&🇨🇭. Hosted by @EuracFederalism, she wrote a blog post on the role of nation-states for #EU cross-border cooperation. ⬇️ @EuracBlogs
🚧"We might expect the pandemic and the resulting border closures to have also incentivized a renewed consideration for EU internal border regions. But is that what has really happened?"
@settialessia's (@TheSubRise) latest on our #EUreka! @EuracBlogs.

#SNSF70: After World War II, leading scientific organisations were convinced: Switzerland needs to catch up with international research. So, on 1 August 1952, they founded the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), for which the Federal Council approved funds.
