She was mindful of what she was saying, but not what she was doing. She was visibly perturbed just being in proximity to him - looking around as if scanning

Of all people. This is the type that she fears the most. Her heartbeat hastens. Stones pool in her gut.
"I... I was not watching myself," She hastily mutters after snapping out of her long and awkward moment of silence. She stumbles to get back to her feet.

How long has it been? Time has slipped away from her again.
She touches her forehead, and though it is warm to the touch, inside she feels cold and clammy. A fever? No, not in this season. Just morning fatigue. Her sleep these days has not been easy, after all.

She falls over completely, landing unceremoniously. She was going to simply push herself to her feet and continue on without saying anything - but as she looks up, and realizes who she'd just avoided, she locks in place, mouth hung slightly agape.
