On social media (especially foreign accounts), people often use “Phuket” as a broad catch-all name for traveling around the entire Andaman coast 🌊✨ just because it’s the most globally recognizable spot 😄🌴 But actually, these stunning spots are in Krabi, not Phuket! 🇹🇭 Specifically featuring the emerald waters of Pileh Lagoon and the iconic limestone cliffs of the Phi Phi Islands. A must-visit in Krabi! 🛶
We talk so much about love language and very little about conflict language, when it turns out conflict language is more important.
A mismatch in love language can be negotiated ten times over before a mismatch in conflict language survives once. It’s like investing in a beautiful house without reinforcing the foundation; the storms will test it.
Love language makes people feel seen, conflict language makes people feel safe.
We talk so often about love languages because it is easy to romanticize, it can easily fit into aesthetics.
They are there when things are smooth. It is easy to give a gift or a hug or spend all day when you feel connected.
Conflict language is "war-time" behavior. When disagreements happen and your nervous system is triggered (the "fight or flight" response), you lose access to your highest self. It is easy to revert to your most primitive, often destructive, defaults.
Love language is behavior in peace time.
Conflict language is behavior in war time.
One is learned.
The other is instinct.
And instinct always wins when pressure is applied.
And what makes it crazier is that, while love language maybe be learned or influenced by our wants and needs, conflict language erupts from our very primal instinct, our traumas.
And conflict language can make or break what love language can’t.
This is why it’s often easier to learn how someone wants to be loved than how they fight because while love may blur sense of judgment, tension blinds it.
Love can soften judgment.
But tension blinds it.
Love language is how you act when things are easy and your nervous system is calm. Conflict language is who you become when you’re threatened, disappointed, scared, or not getting your way. One is performance. The other is instinct. And we avoid conflict languages because they require us to look at our shadows, our triggers, and our ego.
So ask yourself:
When conflict arises, do you fight, freeze, shut down, or try to fix everything in conflict?
Some people fight to resolve.
Some fight to win.
Some fight to wound.
Some don’t fight at all, they disappear and call it “peace”.
But healthy relationships require that tough conversations be had without not escaping it or escalating it.
Are you a fixer, a processor, a ventilator or a minimizer?
-The Fixer needs immediate resolve, even if it is premature.
-The Processor needs time; hours, days to think before they can speak, and this can make the partner feel stonewalled. Heck, they might actually be stonewalling.
-The Ventilator needs to express high-octane emotion to feel heard, which can feel like an attack to others.
-The Minimizer downplays the issue to keep the peace, quietly and oftentimes, accumulating resentment.
None of these are inherently wrong.
They become dangerous when they meet their opposite, untranslated.
Imagine a processor (who needs space) meets a Fixer (who needs closure). Without understanding these "languages," the Fixer sees the Processor as cold, and the Processor sees the Fixer as aggressive, not because either is malicious but because their conflict languages are incompatible without awareness.
Moving on, conflict languages can follow deeper strategies:
Some people pause and reflect before acting.
Some people deflect to avoid responsibility.
Some people suppress until they explode.
Some people confront aggressively.
Some people seek mediation and compromise.
These patterns aren’t random.
They’re survival strategies.
And when John Gottman’s “Four Horsemen” (criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling) comes into play, it ups the stakes.
1- criticism
2- contempt
3- defensiveness
4- stonewalling
The four horsemen of a relationship apocalypse.
Picture this-
Your love language is physical touch but your conflict language is stonewalling and so something simple as a disagreement over chores around the house can spirals into resentment.

RECTAL OXYGEN ADMINISTRATION
Japanese scientists just tested a wild idea — intrarectal oxygen administration!
27 volunteers received rectal doses of perfluorodecalin, a liquid that carries oxygen with high efficiency.
Hello everyone
The baby in the flyer in the quoted tweet below is my baby cousin. She is a twin who was born with a heart defect over a year ago. A birth which, fortunately, did not affect the heart of her twin sister, but unfortunately, led to the death of her mother, my cousin
Let me explain the difference between traditional and Western medicine with this pepper soup issue.
Let's say a Western scientist heard this rumor. They'd immediately conduct a study with peppersoup and check if it's correct.
Now let's say they actually found a positive result, i.e, it actually worked, they wouldn't stop there.
They'd reason that surely it can't be the whole pepper soup that's responsible for the effect they're seeing. I mean, first of all, pepper soup is almost entirely water. So what is it? Is the meat? Is it the spices?
So they'd split their study into groups. Some would be fed only the meat, some, only the actual soup.
Let's say the soup group came back positive; they still wouldn't stop there. Surely there are over half a dozen spices in pepper soup. Either it's one of those spices that's causing the effect, or the spices are interacting to cause that effect.
So they'd split up the groups again and cook different kinds of pepper soup, omitting each ingredient each time.
Let's say they did this for a while, and then discovered that the effect only persists when three particular spices are combined and boiled. They still wouldn't stop there.
They'd start studying the chemical properties of those spices before and after they've been cooked. What compounds are in one but not the other?
MEANWHILE, while all of this is going on, there would be another research group trying to analyse what actually happens when women are taking this pepper soup. What happens to their blood pressure? their heart rate? What about their blood lipids?
There would be groups taking blood and adding pepper soup to that blood, and looking at it under the microscope.
All these different groups would be firing papers at one another.
Usually, what this leads to is the isolation of a single compound that was actually responsible for the effect THE ENTIRE TIME.
Then once we have the compound, we can start studying its properties, using the research from the peppersoup blood guys. Does this thing accumulate in the bloodstream? Does it trigger immune responses or cause inflammation? Does it degrade into a known dangerous chemical? Does it trigger cancerous cells? That's how we understand all the known side effects.
And the funniest thing is that this compound may also appear in another random place. Like maybe it also comes out as a waste product when refining petrol or some shit.
Then, since we have the compound, we know how it works, and we know it's a byproduct of an industrial process, we start setting up a factory to mass-produce it for the public.
After all this, we have gone from
> Drinking pepper soup to flush things.
to
> Taking a single pill that's 100x cheaper and 100x more concentrated and effective, to do the same thing.
A layman could look at this and be like, "Why the hell are these people using waste product from refineries to us as drugs?" but they wouldn't get it.
They just wouldn't get it.

I’m so happy. It’s so important to exercise their minds.
