As we gather to pray together or in your personal prayer time, take the time to pray earnestly for Haiti. Pray for the current and future leaders of Haiti. Pray for peace in Haiti. Pray for a new stable government in Haiti.

Friends and family members of many of The Tabernacle's members are stuck in Haiti until some sort of resolution is reached.

There is practically no government at this point. The US and most other nations have evacuated their personnel and closed their embassies. The gangs are insisting that the prime minister resign and that they have a part in establishing a new government.

If you do not know about the current situation in Haiti, here is a very brief summary. Gangs have taken over the capital and released more criminals from prisons to join their ranks. They control the port and airport in Port au Prince.

...for the people of Haiti.

This is not a prayer for nameless, faceless people in a faraway land who are in a crisis. This is a prayer for the sons and daughters and wives and mothers of people in our local church and our community.

This is personal and this is urgent.
