I’m bad about posting things but here’s a commission I’ve been working on! #Zagreus from #Hades. Finishing touches on the border today, which turned out better than it had any reason to for making no measurements at all. My eyeballing power is well-practiced!
Went thrifting for last minute Ferengi pants. Found this pair of stretch knit slacks in a perfect purple to match the border on my coat. Not only were they the right size to turn into a hideous high-waisted number, they have HIDDEN POCKETS. The Great Material Continuum provides!
My latest commission is almost done. Back to the sewing room for some tacking, borders, and final finishing. Anybody recognize it? https://t.co/Rg0KcXx7o5
Hey gang, here’s another #Ferengi set I just finished for a client! #StarTrek#Cosplay
Fully custom pattern by yours truly. Is some of this made out of sheets from the 1970s?! I’ll never tell! (Yes.)

Worked on some personal props today! Ferengi Blessed Exchequer bank has its back slot epoxied in, ready for the latinum strip ear slot. Various Starfleet-inspired storage containers (and one production accurate one) have primer and first coats of paint.
It's pollen and bug season, but also the first few days nice enough for outdoor painting. I bought this cheapo pop-up kids tent for a paint tent. It has a convenient torso-sized paint window!
It’s keeping out the pollen and bugs, and is very good at keeping in paint fumes...
I’ve been working on a commission for a Ferengi outfit. Here’s some progress, mainly because I’m proud I worked in the ease and attached the sleeves correctly on the *FIRST* try. (Unlike my own costume.)
In today’s “got too many irons in the fire” we have this original production-made casting of the Ophidian cane head from the Star Trek: TNG “Time’s Arrow” two-parter.
I don’t have a lathe, so this $15 snooker cue should make a good start on the replica cane shaft.
#TimeSnakes
A little work cleaning up a banged-up set of production made prototype Helium armor from the Disney “John Carter of Mars” movie, made by Weta. Worked out the dents, removed some weird paint and filler, hit the rust, polished, oiled. Left some weathering. Looking pretty good!
[Star Trek Ferengi costume update.] GANG. It’s DONE. Just needs a few snaps attached, and the pants, but those are boring and I’m not waiting for THAT to show you. Pssh.
Fully custom pattern tailored by yours truly. #StarTrek#Ferengi#Cosplay
Finally making some progress on my Ferengi costume after spending way too much time adjusting the custom tailored pattern. I’m proud of my sharp sleeve caps - those required a lot of drafting pain, and working in the ease on this fabric was a real chore!
