I've often thought that in the instantance of some phenomenon (be it natural or otherwise) wiping out the vast majority of humans, all nonsense (issues that divide us as people) will get wiped out as well.

Skyline, from 2010, arrived at a time in which I was totally obsessed with the History Channel's Ancient Aliens docuseries.
I compared the mass abduction of Los Angeles scene to that of the Biblical rapture, and of course, it's even referenced within the film.
