I've never been more unhappy in my life.

That line stopped me cold. Then came the rest.

We think outward success will change something inside us. It won't. It makes life more comfortable. It doesn't change who we are.

Spend 20 years grinding toward the goal that fixes everything. Hit it. Wake up the next morning. Same you.

Here's what I'm doing with that. I'm building the person while I build the dream. The wins count, but they don't do the healing. Joy has to show up on the way, because it won't be waiting at the end.

Where are you waiting to feel good? Tell me below.

Great teachers still practice. 🎯

Same as athletes. Same as musicians. Nobody gets good by accident. Here are six moves that keep teachers sharp:

1️⃣ Fix one thing. Not everything. Pick one skill, like asking better questions or giving clearer directions.
2️⃣ Ask your students. A quick survey tells you what felt boring or confusing. They know. 👀
3️⃣ Watch the game tape. 🎥 Record a lesson. You'll catch what you missed in the moment.
4️⃣ Rehearse the tricky moments. What if the whole class is lost? What if a student asks something totally random? Practice your move before you need it.
5️⃣ Look beneath the behavior. Off task often means confused or frustrated. Find the why first.
6️⃣ Learn with your people. Swap ideas with colleagues. Try new things together. Your whole career is one long practice session.

Save this for your next PD day or send it to your teacher bestie. 💜

Which one are you trying this week? Tell me below 👇

Maestros, los mejores siguen practicando. Siempre. 🙌

You were creative at five.

Then somebody handed you a rubric.

Coloring inside the lines got rewarded. Right answers got gold stars. Safe choices got approval. Somewhere around middle school, you stopped trying weird ideas because weird ideas cost you points.

Creativity didn't leave. It went quiet from lack of use.

Bring it back with five daily moves:
Make something bad. Ten minutes. A sketch, a sentence, a photo.
Break one default. New route, new tool, new question.
Capture whatever makes you look twice. Use a note on your phone.
Remix something you love. Flip the audience, the format, or the ending.
Post it before you feel ready.

Save this for tomorrow morning. Then come back and tell me what you made.

Students ask me about my career for two minutes. 🎤

Then the real questions start.

"How do I handle the pressure?"
"What if I fail?"
"How do I stop comparing myself to everyone?"

Here are six things that worked for me and for many successful people I know. It took me years to learn them. You get them in six lines. 👇

1️⃣ Start with gratitude. Name what you already have before you chase what you lack.
2️⃣ Write before you speak. Journal it out, then respond instead of react.
3️⃣ Picture the worst. Rehearse the rejection, the tough boss, the hard exam. Walk in calm.
4️⃣ Do one thing first. Your most important task. Phone away.
5️⃣ Control what's yours. Your effort, your attitude, your learning. Let the rest go.
6️⃣ Zoom out. One bad interview is one page, not the whole book.

Life skills are designed too. Not accidental. 💜

Teachers, save this for the next student who asks you about life. 📌

"Just go learn the new skill."
Aprender una nueva habilidad ya no es suficiente. Y esto es lo que nadie te está diciendo. 👇

I say this in every room now, from higher ed students to district leaders to folks outside education entirely.

The old cycle:

Skill is scarce ➡️ tool absorbs it ➡️ using the tool becomes the new skill ➡️ repeat.

Squarespace ate web development.
Excel ate bookkeeping math.
Canva ate basic design.

Every time, the window stayed open long enough to climb through. 🪟

AI closes the window. It absorbs the skill AND the skill of using the tool that absorbed the skill. ⚡
And here is the part nobody says out loud 👇

Your job lives in one of two columns.
💼 Labor. A headcount fight. Once a year. Defended by a manager.
💳 Capital. A line item. A card. A renewal date. Decided in an afternoon by someone who has never met you.
When your work moves columns, you are not outbid. You are routed around. 😳

Try this today:
✏️ Draw the workflow your job actually sits inside.
1️⃣ Mark every step that is mostly knowledge.
2️⃣ Mark every step that only exists because two things used to need a human in the middle.
🔁 Redraw the map without the double marked steps. Find yourself on it.

Still there? Now you know exactly why. 💪
Not there? That is not anxiety. That is a head start. 🚀
Knowing is the part that got cheap.

The win goes to whoever finds where the leverage moved... and goes and stands there. 🎯
Save this one. Then draw the map. 📌

This guy used Claude to build a CapCut replacement. In 3 weeks. And people are actually switching to it.

It's called Concat. Built entirely with Claude Fable on a Max subscription. Rust, Slint, and GPU shaders under the hood. No VC funding. No team. One person and an AI.

CapCut is owned by ByteDance. Used by millions. And a solo developer with Claude is pulling users away from it.

My son is a freshly minted teen, wildly creative, and on the spectrum. Executive function is still a daily work in our house. 💛

People think this ends once a kid learns to pack their own backpack. It does not end. It just changes shape 🤓

10 hacks we actually use right now, built for growing kids, not just little ones. Save this. 📌

1️⃣ Make it stupidly small
2️⃣ Get reminders out of your head
3️⃣ Build boring defaults
4️⃣ Put tasks where they happen
5️⃣ Make time visible
6️⃣ Build systems, not motivation
7️⃣ Define "good enough" in advance
8️⃣ Plan recovery buffers
9️⃣ Match tasks to brain states
🔟 Make restarting part of the plan

"How do I get him to actually practice?" A dad asked me that twice in one hallway at a back-to-school event. Every parent there wanted the same answer.

Thirty years of teaching creative tech gave me one: My own Creativo Guide, 12 free tools for learning anything, ten minutes a night. I use it with my own kid at our kitchen table.

Your kid doesn't have a learning problem. They have a "nobody taught me how to learn" problem.

Save this. Pick one, try it tonight. 💾

1. Practice. A video won't teach long division. Five problems with a pencil will. No worksheet? Ask Claude or ChatGPT to generate five in ten seconds, free.

2. Ask. Kids are born asking "why." By third grade, most stop. Your house should be the one place that never happens.

3. Know yourself. That "struggling reader" already tracks three storylines in Minecraft without blinking. The skill is theirs, just not on a worksheet yet.

4. Circle the question. Before "I hate math" sets in, ask "what's another way to look at this?" One angle can undo a bias.

5. Experiment. Let them be wrong where nothing is graded. The trying builds knowledge no explanation can replace.

6. Teach. Have them explain today's lesson, no jargon. What they can't explain simply is the gap the test finds.

7. Read. Read with them, not just to them. Ask "why do you think she did that?"

8. Write. A few lines a day. A kid who writes down what confused them usually writes their way to the answer.

9. Listen. Two ears, one mouth, in that order. Let them finish before you jump in. Half the time they solve it mid-sentence.

10. Observe. The classmate crushing it and the one struggling are both lessons. Ask, "What are they doing differently?"

11. Define. "I know what a fraction is" and "I can define a fraction" are two different kids. Only one has it locked in.

12. Reason. Give three similar problems and one question: "What's the same about all three?" Finding the pattern is how they stop needing you in the room.

No tutor required. Just better questions instead of better answers.

This is the same learning design I teach educators globally, aimed at your kitchen table instead of a classroom. Create. Learn. Grow. Empowered Designed Learning no se detiene en la puerta de la escuela. 💛

Educadores, escuelas y distritos: esto es una probadita de la Noche de Padres completa que ya se enseñó. Mándenme "LEARN" por DM.

5 rules for making anything worth making

None of them start with adding more. 😉

@RickRubin spent four decades stripping songs down to what mattered; turns out the same rules apply to lesson plans, keynotes, and classroom projects.

1. Cut to 40%, not 70%. Force the brutal edit first; what survives earns its way back in.
2. One player beats a wall of ten. Stack take after take, and each one gets less important. The single, human version carries more weight.
3. Let one constraint make the decision for you. One instrument. One mood. One hour. Pick the rule and every other choice gets easier.
4. Judge old work like a diary, not a verdict. What you made a year ago was right for that day; it doesn't need a re-grade today.
5. Build it for the version of you who'd actually use it. Make the thing you want to exist, not the thing built to impress. Real resonates.

How are you enhancing your creativity today? 👇

[Martin Ricardo Cisneros @TheTechProfe]

Your students aren't just scrolling. They're studying.

New research from Google and Kantar just handed us the receipts.

📚 63% choose video over text or audio when they want to learn something new
🌱 87% say video is where they learn and grow
🎨 73% of Gen Z pick indie creators over studio-produced shows
🤝 79% say creators build communities that make them feel like they belong
🔁 80% keep coming back to the same creators again and again

Read that last stat twice. "Kids can't focus" doesn't hold up when the content actually matches what they want.
Here's the reframe. If students already trust creators this much, they can trust us the same way. If community keeps them coming back, our classrooms can be that community. If AI is generating more of what they see every day, our human, creative voice is the thing that can't be replaced.

That's Empowered Designed Learning. Give kids real creative tools. Let them build, not just consume.
Nosotros diseñamos las condiciones. Los estudiantes hacen el resto. 💜

💾 Save this for your next staff meeting
🔁 Send it to a teacher who still thinks kids have no attention span

AI adoption isn't a tech problem. It's a trust problem.
Organizations succeed when they empower people to experiment, not control every step.
Trust over control. 🚀
Who's tried the new comic strip feature in Adobe Express?

[Martin Ricardo Cisneros @TheTechProfe]

I sat through three graduation ceremonies this month.

Caps and gowns. Proud families. That specific kind of happy noise that only exists at commencement.
And the whole time, I kept thinking about a TNTP research report called the Opportunity Myth (https://t.co/Bp2cW0GFUM).
Published in 2018. Still true today.

Researchers followed 4,000 students across multiple districts and found something uncomfortable. Students were earning A's and B's but were not being given work that was challenging enough to actually prepare them for the future.

More than 500 hours per year were spent on assignments that were not grade-appropriate.Not because students could not handle more.
Because the adults around them, with the best intentions, had quietly lowered the bar. Especially for students of color, English learners, and kids from low-income families.

They showed up. They did the work. They followed every rule.
And they graduated underprepared anyway.

That is the myth: you could do everything right and still not get what you were promised.

Here is what 30 years in education has taught me. That is a design problem. And design problems have design solutions.

Creativity and AI are not magic. But they give educators something the Opportunity Myth said was missing: the tools to design rigorous, engaging, high-expectation learning for every student. Not just the ones lucky enough to land in the right classroom.

When AI scaffolds access without lowering expectations...
When creative tools demand genuine thinking instead of just task completion...
When a student who has been written off produces something stunning...

The room shifts. The teacher sees the student differently. The student sees themselves differently.

We design the conditions. The students do the rest.

I put together a short animation on this. Watch it and tell me: what does this look like in your district?

If this connects with work you are doing, I would love to talk. I am booking keynotes and district training for fall now at https://t.co/qmgkjxqlRH.
