It's supposed to be messy and contradictory and full of plot holes.

Look at every book you love on your shelf and realize that exactly ZERO of them started out that way.

They all started out as rough drafts riddled with issues that got ironed out in revision.

So trust the process and keep going. Your draft doesn't have to be good yet — it just has to be on the page.

The biology of a shallow reflecting pool in Washington, DC is not a partisan conspiracy. Warm water grows algae. Large pools require constant maintenance. That was true before Trump and remains true today.

What is remarkable is claiming credit for solving a long-standing problem after awarding the contract to a previously convicted fraudster, only to end up with a blue surface that retains more heat, promotes algae growth, and is now reportedly peeling. That is not a triumph over nature. It is an expensive lesson in it.
