@theWellRedMage That said, I'm kind of a hypocrite who likes the shiny things, and I often find myself getting the remake of the game I love. In a way, it's like getting to see how the original looked to people when it released.
If that makes sense.
@theWellRedMage When you have a game like System Shock 1, I think a remake is fully justified because the OG, while great at its time, just didn't age well and can't really be ported as is.
For most games, however, a remaster with some tweaked controls and QoL improvements is the way.
@theWellRedMage As someone who never played the original until 2 years ago, I think it's a perfectly fine starting point if you get the pixel remaster.
FF3 though...that can probably be skipped.
Every time I find the actions of Gen Z and Gen Alpha to be annoying or cringy, I need to remind myself that Millenials used to unironically end posts with things like #liveauthentic.
@theWellRedMage I just hope the creators choose to have some semblance of RPG mechanics and character building. I liked FF16 as a game, but even Crisis Core had more build depth than that game.
@TSoS_ I liked season 1's score. A solid theme. A few standout tracks like One Way Out. That said, this season really felt like a step up musically. Talk about rising to the challenge.
@theWellRedMage Imagine if they still had the original hi-res renders of all the characters and artwork on hand and were able to put out an HD version of this masterpiece.
@theWellRedMage This game combined with Maximum Force in the tiny arcade corner of my hometown bowling alley (which still had smoking inside) will forever be a core memory. Take me back.
@Konami Hope for further adjustments to the screen set up. I know the DS makes it difficult, but a fullscreen option where you can toggle through each screen would be great.
@theWellRedMage Work on parrying sooner than later because you basically have to use it against the final boss.
Also look up how to get the three Umbilical cords before defeating Rom the spider or you won't be able to get the true ending.
