I know this is kind of out of the blue but I found myself writing this on the plane ride back from Germany.
As a kid, I was probably the last person anyone would have expected to go through depression or have social anxiety, which I have been struggling with for more than half my life now, even after my career as a singer started. But it was something that I was really ashamed of and felt like I had to hide from the rest of the world, especially since it seemed so contradictory as a performer.
But lately, I feel a lot shifts inside me. Over the years, I've had countless opportunities to travel the world, meet new people, experience different cultures, perform in front of so many diverse crowds, and all this has been a huge healing process for me.
My only true regret is that I missed out on so many good relationships with good people, but I hope I can make up for it in the future.
Change takes time and there's no end to bettering yourself, but I'm just grateful that I can look back and say I've definitely come a lot farther than I ever thought I could, and that
you can find ways to overcome hurdles in life, even if you're not the best at it.
So yeah. I guess what I wanted to say was that I know there's probably a lot of people like me out there, so I hope if that's you, you don't give up on yourself & just keep rocking on. ๐คโค๏ธโ๐ฅ
@FATEGEAR_JP I think this is a good thing. Last year for the Ghost tour, we had to put our smartphones in locked bags.
Hope that more bands enforce no-video rules.
@nanonano_me Thank you for your hard work and good music. ๐
I've seen some reports that the PM of Japan is aware of Japan's rising global popularity. Since she's a former metal musician ๐ค I think she's familiar with the business. Maybe the government will help?
@nanonano_me@FATEGEAR_JP Thank you for calling this out. ๐ฏ The costs are high! I am always grateful for the Japanese artists that can travel overseas.
I hope this can change in the future. In the meantime, I support you and others for the love of Japanese music. ๐ฏ๐ต
