‘The Trafford Hub’ — what are we & how do we differentiate from your average Manchester United account?

🔴⚪️⚫️ FT: Porto 3-3 #mufc.

Harry Maguire rescues a point for ten-man Manchester United, but ultimately another dismal display from the visitors.

Is this the end for Erik ten Hag? 👇

🔴⚪️⚫️ HT: Porto 2-2 #mufc.

Manchester United took an early two-goal lead but quickly capitulated in the face of a Porto barrage, entering level at the break.

🔴⚪️⚫️ FT: #mufc 0-3 Spurs.

In one of the most embarrassing performances of the Erik ten Hag era, United fall to humiliating defeat at Old Trafford to Spurs.

Where do we go from here? 👇

🔴⚪️⚫️ HT: #mufc 0-1 Spurs.

Shambolic, disgraceful, unacceptable. Brennan Johnson’s early goal and Bruno Fernandes’ red card compile a disastrous first half for Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes is sent off for a challenge on James Maddison.

Welcome to Manchester United, Chido Obi-Martin! 🇩🇰👑

[The Trafford Hub @TheTraffordHub]

—> Utd missed rhythm tonight, with countless broken-down moves & plays — not good enough.

—> Need to be MUCH better against Spurs this weekend to stand a chance of getting points on the board.

[The Trafford Hub @TheTraffordHub]

💭 Post-match review #MUNTWE;

—> Where do we start? A passive, laboured performance in which United, by all accounts, should be grateful to come away with a point.

—> Utd controlled possession for the most part, but as the tale of the game goes, struggled to create.

[The Trafford Hub @TheTraffordHub]

—> Utd lacked block disorganisers tonight, a carrier in the midfield. Twente set up in a narrow mid-block & Utd needed someone who could disorganise that set-up outside of an otherworldly pass.

—> Marcus Rashford looked sharper than ever, playing with a newfound confidence.

🔴⚪️⚫️ FT: #mufc 1-1 FC Twente.

Manchester United limp to a 1-1 draw against FC Twente at Old Trafford, in an uninspiring & frankly poor performance from the hosts.

🔴⚪️⚫️ HT: #mufc 1-0 FC Twente.

An unspectacular yet professional half from Manchester United, who lead at half time thanks to a scorcher from Christian Eriksen.

📦 #mufc using a box midfield vs FC Twente.

- Dalot pushing into left pivot position.
- Eriksen & Fernandes double #8’s.
- Twente narrow wingers to try stop central progression & midfield overload.

❤️ Happy retirement, Monsieur Raphaël Varane!

Thank you for everything you have given to both Manchester United & football.

MATCHDAY! 🔴⚪️⚫️

Manchester United kick off their European campaign against FC Twente of the Netherlands at Old Trafford.

What would be your XI for the game? 👇

[The Trafford Hub @TheTraffordHub]

United have done well in the recent games both in and out of possession but they must remain consistent with their new approach, and continue to try exert and establish control.

[The Trafford Hub @TheTraffordHub]

Evans, Maguire and Dalot formed a situational back 3, while Ugarte, Casemiro, Collyer and Eriksen formed the box shaped midfield. The front 3 of Garnacho, Rashford and Antony were sometimes narrow and sometimes wide depending on the game state.

[The Trafford Hub @TheTraffordHub]

However, what is encouraging is that there are signs of improvement and that patterns of play are becoming more prominent.
