Laurence Stewart, Chelsea’s co-sporting director, is set to leave the club.

Stewart joined Chelsea following the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital-led takeover in May 2022.

He was initially appointed as technical director, a position he had held at former club Monaco, before moving into the role of co-sporting director alongside Paul Winstanley in February 2023.

🚨 Chelsea agree a deal to sign Lamine Camara. €55m fixed. No add-ons. 6+1 contract. Deal driven by Behdad Eghbali.

Camara deal was looking all but off, but doubts over Flo Balogun's move to Everton made Monaco need a sale.

Chelsea swooped in, and they now get a midfielder following the departure of Enzo Fernandez.

Crazy deadline day saga.

[Alex Goldberg @GoldbergCFC]

Nah SHUT UP. You told us 80 times a day for SIX WEEKS that Enzo only leaves if a replacement is lined up. Now he’s gone and suddenly nobody needs replacing? Stop treating us like we’ve got dementia.

[Simon Phillips @siphillipssport]

Dear Chelsea, fuck the FUCK OFF with your pathetic briefings.
