@bart_denijs @DC_DeWitt Good pollsters do this seriously and professionally, and are more aware of sampling biases than you or I could ever hope to be. This doesn't mean all polls should be trusted. It means it is possible to create reliable polls. Scrutinizing them well requires a lot of education.

From what I've read, it's because it's a capacitive button with haptics, so if you rest your finger on it, it's detected, and their software ignores it if it's detected for a long period (e.g. 30s).

I treat it like a physical button, but it's really a touchscreen.
