@lm9382@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse And maybe he came legally, but unless he’s a citizen, if you break the law, I think they have a right to deport you. I don’t care about asylum, court dates, you were going to go grab Mexican tonight…idc.
@lm9382@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse Just like everyone else, we take what we know. So by your logic, unless we work for the govt or are this individual, we shouldn’t be posting.
And for asylum, sounds like he doesn’t have it yet if he had a court date. Regardless, you break the lawconsequences nonetheless.
@floridaforester@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse Don’t trust links so just searched that exact thing on Google…first result .gov
“found that Guantanamo detainees do not enjoy protections under the Due Process Clause of the Constitution…are non-citizens held outside the United States and lack significant ties to the country”
@addfanabc @NDonNBC@NDFootball@FightingIrish They don’t really care that way. It’s the same company. Want it exclusively to Peacock for people to subscribe to their streaming service.
@lm9382@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse And even if legal then, he probably broke his Visa by not following the laws so he was sent back. Now if he was arrested for eating McD’s, that would be different.
If I went to another country, broke their laws…they’d ask me to leave too.
@PaulaUrban8@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse That is in the context of what I quoted. That only applies to a person born or naturalized…
Otherwise the Constitution is juxtaposing itself.
@PaulaUrban8@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse Was in a subthread..
Looked up the wording of the amendment… “ All persons born or naturalized in the United States” get that protection.
Illegals do not. And makes since. Why would an individual not under the law be entitled to the same provisions? Simple. They shouldn’t.
@PaulaUrban8@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse Possibly…but it’s not illegal. I just proved that by quoting the 14th Amendment. Wake up or prove that I missed something in the amendment.
@PaulaUrban8@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse Can’t just trust what you hear…have to think well why isn’t it actually being stopped? Why are so many people ok with it?
Maybe because they’re illegal and shouldn’t be subject to due process. The media is a great deceiver, go to the source and read it if unsure.
@PaulaUrban8@TheGasStovee@WhiteHouse If it was illegal, it would be stopped. I dislike that argument. If you can prove a legal individual was wrongfully deported, I’m 100% on your side. I’m not saying paperwork filed wrong, but someone legal being deported.
