I feel like there should definitely be more emphasis in establishing these sudden things like Zero and Iris' relationship, Axl's place in the Maverick Hunters, etc. Loredumps aren't a very good substitution for these things and is one of the main issues I have with the series.

I think the issue is that despite all the lore we have about this franchise we rarely EVER get actual character moments.

Lumine who is the big bad of the LAST X game has 12 lines of dialogue. I might be asking for too much but I would KILL for some more character interactions.
