Just in: The Los Angeles Lakers are trading Deandre Ayton to the Washington Wizards for Jaden Hardy and two Wizards second-round picks in 2031 and 2032, sources tell ESPN.
Draymond Green on people saying the Jaylen Brown trade was a even swap:
“No disrespect to Paul George, but this isn’t an even swap. I got a lot of love for PG. but like myself, PG is 36 years old. Not like myself. I’m going into year 15. I think PG is going into year 17. And Jaylen Brown, not even 30 years old. He’s 29 years old and he’s going into year 11. So, and by the way, he won finals MVP two years ago. I think he just made All-NBA second team this year. Was arguably controversially possibly could have been a first team performer, but the votes are what they are. So it’s not an even swap. Like when you’re talking just player for player, it’s not.”

Something Bill Nye told me that night about Jaylen: “He’s trying to get the kids in the communities that he plays in to embrace school and academic achievement, especially science,” Nye said. “It’s really gratifying that he wanted to meet me and share this vision of a better tomorrow through science education.”

We all know the NBA is a business, but it feels like the human side of this Jaylen Brown saga has been lost in the drama. This is a franchise legend we are talking about. He gave the organization 10 years. He came in as a wide-eyed kid and left as an established champion. I know there is sadness from the Celtics fans but there feels like there is a lack of overall appreciation for his time there by large pockets of the NBA community.
No gambling scandals.
No domestic violence.
No drug issues.
No DUI headlines.
No locker room drama.
Yet Jaylen Brown is always treated like a villain just bc he’s intelligent and confident in himself. That’s disappointing.
This is awesome: Chris Johnson's daughter has brought back the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and money.
"The support you’ve shown me over the last few days has meant more than I can put into words."
What a powerful message 🥹❤️
Remember when streaming took over cable TV? We were like, "Wow! Convenience and no commercials!" Then they slowly injected commercials back into it and took control of our viewing libraries. The convenience of digital gaming is going to follow the same pattern.
