We really need these things right now:
1. Compassion
2. Empathy
3. Honesty
4. Science, science, science
5. Cultural knowledge
6. An understanding of civics
7. Critical thinking skills
8. Unbiased media
9. Awareness of our own biases
I'm sorry but how did we get to the point where the mention of violence or controversial political points became the point where you got called out or where a teacher had to message you after class with student concerns and make you stress out about it? Really?
Okay, I can't say what I want to say to anyone because then my mentor/teacher/parent will think I'm having a mental breakdown and maybe I am but I don't have time for that and all I need is just to be able to say if I disagree with you, it's called free speech, suck it up!
It should not be that hard for people to just respect each others' beliefs.
If I believe Jesus is the Son of God, you don't have to agree with me, and I don't have to agree with whatever you believe, we just need to respect each others' beliefs.
@jeffjsb@cbell0211@RachMiata@MrAndyNgo I don't really know. Something that has to do with Ukraine. I'm not a fan of politics anymore.
Plus, a lot of people at least want to know about the family of the president. I don't really care, but at least know the names maybe?
@AP "Some 500 police and soldiers descended on the area after dock workers joined the national civil disobedience movement, refusing to work until the military junta that seized power in a Feb. 1 coup reinstates the democratically elected government led by Aung San Suu Kyi."
@char_charmed@BrainAblaze Thank you, btw @epilepsysociety is awesome. I know what it is, I just have no idea how it feels. "Have you ever smelled, seen, etc. before a seizure?" has no meaning for me. :/
People with epilepsy or another chronic illness, do your parents ever try to control your medication, doctor's appointments, life, etc. to an insane degree?
Am I insane? They said it's because I only get six hours of sleep but they know I'm stable (no seizures for about 5 years I think - lost track), responsible, and don't party.
My parents let me go to college and live on my own, but they will not let me get my medication switched to pharmacy near where I live (claim: the people they go to already know about my meds) and they won't let me go off hydroxyzine or switch to the generic of Onfi.
With less than a week until the deadline, no executive tickets and only seven senate candidate applications have been submitted.

@JulieBorowski Probably for the same reason I have an anonymous Twitter account.
I would call the person running my real account stupid too, because she has to play the academia game. I doubt that a lot of people who are actually smart lack common sense; they're just corrupt.
@michaelshermer Weird how this article mentions "bipartisan" once, then talks about things like the "proper outcome" and can't reveal much of what was actually done... Even weirder that the media seemed to report biased news before the election...
