“Laughter is the evidence that we’re still here, the proof that our tragedies will not define us forever. Laughter is the language of the survivor.” — Josh Riebock
Super excited to name @PullumTyler our new Offensive Coordinator. Coach Pullum has served as the QB Coach and Special Teams Coordinator for the previous three seasons.
Congrats to our #CSLeaders winners! 🎉 These schools will add a new computer science course next year. This'll impact tens of thousands of underserved students; as their districts expand CS pathways, we'll see even more students gain access! #hourofcode https://t.co/7xrrToedUi
There is zero chance that I’m doing any sort of schoolwork over this break. I’m not even checking my email.
So why would I expect my students to do homework? Makes no sense.
Sleep. Play video games. Watch movies. The math will be there when we get back.
A few of my core admin beliefs:
🍏 Please don’t apologize, I trust you.
🍏 Love kids first, teach them second.
🍏 If you need to be absent, be absent. We will make it work.
🍏 Wear what makes you happy.
🍏 Drive safely. 🙃
I walked around my school today. Everyone was doing something. I don’t know if it hit the standards. I don’t know if there were learning targets. But teachers and kids were happy. And sometimes that’s what matters most. Okay, always, that’s what matters most.
The statements “Your grade reflects your learning in this class” and “earn extra credit points for showing school spirit on Fridays” can’t peacefully coexist in a classroom.
It’s one or the other.
Pick a side.
EDUCATORS:
If you work in a diverse school and don’t mind answering a few questions for me, please PM me. I’m working on an assignment and need one more school perspective!
Thanks!
