Our 8th grade Hawks are studying the Laws of Motion in their science classes this week. Part of that study is gravitational acceleration. Ss worked in teams to design their own egg parachute. Drop distance is 5.5 meters. How successful were their designs…roughly 50%.

On 10/10 7pm at UMS we will be collecting food for Blessings in a Backpack (please bring individual servings of applesauce or Chef Boyardee cups for donations. Also, we will be making kindness cards for Blessings bags, friendship bracelets.

Our Hawks in Mr. Bauer’s 7th grade Health Class today created their own skits focusing on developing their resistance skills when tempted by peers to try tobacco. Important discussion to follow-up with at home this evening with your children. @FCPSHealthNutn

The Hawk Nest hosted @FCDFRS to spark possible interest for our Ss in a career as a first responder. Our Hawks received a hands on experience that included a Q&A session w/actual first responders. Mr. St Paul (UMS Career Coach) scheduled this event w/ more to come! @FCPSCTE
