To Underestimate the Tactical abilities or footballing intelligence of Michael Carrick has to be one of the fastest ways to set yourself up for disappointment.

A lot of people described Carrick as not having a system or a style of play and basically relying on counterattacks and the pace of players forgetting that a good manager always has to play in a way that suits the team he has at the moment (Adaptability).

I know it might be a little too early to draw conclusions but expect a different type of football next season especially with the signings of Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and a possible third midfield signing.

Manchester United would control more games while still maintaining that lethal threat on the counter attack because we could have the players to do what we couldn’t do last season and the seasons before. #mufc

The Mason mount and Andrey Santos pairing is nothing short of a master stroke, they compliment each other so well.

Mason runs the game while santos is on mop up duty, they both look so energetic being able to progress the ball and track back effortlessly without leaving any obvious spaces.

I’m not one to draw hasty conclusions but there’s something wonderful between these two and I hope it’s given time to blossom. {#MUFC }

Mason Mount, Amad, Shea Lacy, Andre Santos. Wonderful first half so far from these lot, United have been the better team despite conceding an early goal.
