@WestRyderP@OrientBanter Oh did they? I don’t really remember the timeline, I just remember meeting people in whatever league they were in who said they were cunts before, and cunts after.
@mathewclarke In 22/23 Orient had the best defence in the league, only scored more than two goals once all season, and had the lowest goals scored of any side in the top eight.
And won the league at a canter.
Attacking equalling promotion is just the FIFA generation at work.
@JamesEastwood83@OrientOutlook Thing is, we don’t know what pool we’re fishing in for a new manager now.
With Gandler’s money and connections, are we looking at someone like Critchley at one extreme?
Or are we looking at maybe a Garrard at the other extreme?
Either would be acceptable, but we don’t know.
@Orient_Ed@OrientOutlook Aiming too high or aiming too low?
I think recruitment is impossible to predict at the moment. We can’t be sure what market we’ll be shopping in.
You know what, for years I would have said no chance. Bigger clubs will be looking.
But we don’t know what money Gandler will put in anymore, so if he’s within budget, why not?
(Also Matt Rush. Gives me Hoskins/May vibes)

@JmeRay72 The only thing I can think of is that an U21 side is a big picture, club culture, long-term direction thing. That was Ling’s department.
If we’ve gone all in on Wellens, which it looks like we have, then we all know he is often reticent to play our academy players. So no point.
@OrientRob@OrientOutlook I wouldn't go quite that far, but it's not good.
I've generally been quite a defender of Gandler, but we are a community club who looks after their own.
Bringing that kind of culture to the club will just make everything toxic. I guess it did.
What happened to #AlwaysAnO ?
@1881will@OrientOutlook I’ve got a feeling it was 90+ clearances against Northampton. The most opta have ever recorded in a game, or so I read at the time.
@Garicko7@OrientOutlook I'm with you, I thought he had enough credit in the bank to ride it out.
But he deserved to be on the pitch. He deserved the take the applause and thanks from the fans.
That he was robbed of that suggests something rotten about the new culture at the club I think.
@alexnish3@1965ac1881@paulredrum@OrientOutlook You’ve got to ask who they’re going to displace. Theo seems a must after last season, but if we bring in some high quality he might get shifted out.
Don’t see O’Neill being second choice, and obviously not Connolly.
