I am OK, though not without a rush of adrenaline. Laddering down from a fire was not on my bucket list, yet here we are. Some people had to jump, they are also OK afaik, though not without injury.

Fortunately, ornithology largely missed that memo. Now to change all names to descriptive (and not useless honorifics)!

@NeonTetraploid @GREGNEISE @Seiurus There is a lengthy list of species that share letters that would result in identical codes. That's dealt with and not the problem here.

The problem is *changing* the code. When you consult data archives ten years from now, which AMGO is which? THAT is the problem.
