CHICAGO – TOMORROW EVENING
Tomorrow I’ll be speaking at the Copernicus Center about my year living in Poland, the poetry collection that emerged from that experience, and the themes of European identity, memory, migration and Central Europe.
The talk will include readings from Selected Silesian Sonnets, photographs from my time in Poland, and a discussion of how living in Silesia shaped my writing.
If you’re in the Chicago area, I’d be delighted to see you there.

Two black men. The first tried to behead a Belfast lad last night, the second is the captain of the Israel football national team.
Some people believe that there is a problem with the latter and he should not be allowed in Ireland.
Can we bring back sanity to our societies?
@CollyShanemc66x We moved the conversation from Scarva to Spain. I am keen to understand your depth of interaction with the Spaniards? It’s probably close to none as you don’t have a common language, which, once again, proves that your knowledge of the world is mostly gained online 🥱
