I first took the pregnancy thing at the beginning as him being kind of tiptoeing through life until he’s suddenly faced with something almost irreversible, forcing him to realize and contextualize how good he actually had it. Which also segues pretty nicely into him basically leaving behind an audio diary that some player would find later, as its own little thing.
The maternity ward I honestly took way more literally. Like, this is just what would realistically happen to a busy hospital that suddenly got Zerg rushed by zombies or whatever the mutant Evil Dead squid things are... so yeah, an evil maternity wing full of miscreant babies would probably be part of that nightmare.
But now that you’ve pointed out the possibility of an overarching theme connecting the two, I’m wondering about it too. I hadn’t really connected those dots before 😂
Just posted a video on my Youtube channel about Evangelion and Mari and why the character who seems like she does not belong might actually represent what happens when you finally stop running and decide to leave the story behind.

Just posted my video regarding the #Alien franchise and how the overarching theme isn't really about penis-head shaped monsters

A new video is now public on my youtube channel and it is about digital media and how buying things slowly turned changed ownership into permission and why convenience always comes with a tradeoff.

The new video is now public on my youtube channel and it is about kaiju and how giant monsters may be less about destruction and more about giving shape to the things that scare us

The new video is now public on my youtube channel and it is about the matrix trilogy and a theory that asks if humanity ever actually escaped the system at all and whether zion neo and the prophecy were all part of a machine design that learned how to control the illusion of freedom.
