I absolutely hate when I make mistakes like this. Spent a while trying to figure out why some things weren't working properly. This little error/bug has been sitting there for months and I had no idea.... #GameDev can be a headache sometimes😭
Why @Windows do I get up from my PC to go clean out my car only to come back and find that my PC has been rebooted and updated?? This is beyond infuriating.....
Microwave Simulator Dev Log #1 is now live! 🔥
Take a first look at the evolving world 👉 https://t.co/xxJCemo0t1
Explore a bizarre sandbox where almost everything can be shrunk, grown, and microwaved, with dynamic time of day, changing weather, and a world that reacts to your actions in unexpected ways 💀
@ChoskerSanz I found an issue with wide penumbras(Cloud shadows). The entire area covered by the wide penumbra can become over-saturated if you're using higher saturation values. I fixed it here on github. Follow Choskers tutorial for how to add it: https://t.co/XFgc8cIvUz
What's this? Info on Unreal's next-generation terrain solution? 👀
Full 3D, enabling overhangs and tunnels?!
Multi-user non-destructive modifiers, and it can still import heightfields?!
Both Nanite and trad LODs 🤯https://t.co/QQZsvwqPMK
@Ian_Fisch@KindaSortaMaebe I found Chaos physics to be the main culprit for CPU performance issues. Shoutout to @GameDevMicah for getting it working smoothly. Otherwise, I haven't had much trouble on the CPU side. Rendering has also been pretty good for me on the Xbox Series S and X.
How about "No Interactive"... Where is that $1 million dollar fork of UE5 or his game that he's been developing that has apparently been hindered by UE5's lack of true performance optimization. 😆😆I find this all a little too fun and funny 🤣
Crashout Interactive DMCA striking people reposting video clips. Just stating this so people know that this is not us claiming the clips -- you can post our clips to twitter, I don't care. Another entity claiming copyright over our content is, however, illegal. @ThreatInteract
@smart_poly Immediately after responding to my post about running ue5 on a series X with super dense foliage at native 4K, he blocked me to avoid the obvious comeback. He's never going to allow opposition or any valid criticism. I'm glad he picked GN to mess with because now, it's ending 😂
@UnityCodeMonkey Thankfully I worked on bigger projects that took about a year or 2 in the meantime which allowed me to quickly overcome the bad habits formed through the lower effort projects. This is also some of that nuance that a convo like this requires.
@UnityCodeMonkey I used to do this back in late 2000's and early to mid 2010's. You don't learn complex systems designs. Bad habits are built in these "quick release" timelines. Or technicalities are misconstrued: "It took 4 weeks but I already had the code, assets, etc... from learning projects"
@NikTek I dont know why these AAA studios have to be such asses when it comes to modding. I believe that should be something you should charge for if you spend time bringing new experiences for players which in turns makes people buy the game for mods.
