I think it was this one Saturday when I planned an outing with my guys, only for everyone to cancel at the last minute. I was the only one left and I was still at home oo, and normally I was supposed to just stay back but no, I still went out๐ญ
So I just wandered around, I sat at a restaurant, then I stumbled on an owambe and stayed there till around 6pm when they started packing up. After that I went to a mai suya spot and stayed till 9 pm.
I later walked home and got home around 10:30 when I could have just taken a bike ooI. I took my shower and slept. All this because I didn't want to stay at home๐ญ๐ญ
Omo I'm homophobic like mad๐๐
21 years ago I named "Reddit" and everyone said it was a horrible name, but I insisted one day people would say "I read it on reddit" and used my CEO-privilege to overrule everyone + kept the name. Now the company twitter account (unbeknownst to them) is making the joke. Heh.
I worked on a very expansive feasibility study for a similar project for a DFI and a consortium of mortgage banks it has very slim viability to develop this in Nigeria without it being highly priced.
So in other words, even if you were to build it, it still won't crash the price. This is because of the complex intersection between citizen income levels, infrastructure cost required to build, equip and maintain it, and the access to land vs proximity to commercial centers. Cost of power, access roads, sewage, water systems, recreation, parking, lifts, AC systems, etc.
So if the price was to be low (and still not low enough for our purchasing power dynamics), it'll have to be situated at very remote outskirts where land is at near zero costs. Those who will then be interested to buy and or live there will be unwilling to make the long commutes to commercial centers and also be unwilling to pay the estimated maintenance service charges. Mass housing is expensive and our income level cannot accommodate it except there is a massive consortium of developers, govt, DFIs etc who are willing to fund it at loss positions. And yet that'll still leave the recurring maintenance cost issues.
Real estate is not as simplistic as we think it is.
