The Babiito Royals are partly Bakoko.
Nyatworo, a Luo, daughter of Labongo sired the descendants of the Babiito when she sired children for Kyomya. Everything else is just an excuse because deep into the core of things, The Babiito clan isn't pure blood
@QuinKabateesi@newvisionwire You're just biased
We're the Batooro who contributed for that vehicle.
Actually, we contributed 500m
The balance is for him to enjoy and better his life
EMOTIONS ASIDE. DESPITE THE MOU, THE QUEEN MOTHER WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO SEE HIS SON TO THE GRAVE AND THAT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. THE QUEEN MOTHER WAS PLAYED.
What if I told you clause 4 was null and void ab initio. And nobody among the parties that signed this MOU had the right to agree to it.
And also this MOU in general was void ab initio because a cultural leader or a group of representatives does not possess absolute legal authority to sign away the core constitutional or customary framework of an institution. This includes how a king of Tooro kingdom is buried.
So this MOU was void from the beginning and the parties had every legal and moral right not to honour its terms. It was dead from the beginning, the queen mother was played.
Guys😭😭😭, can we just accept Edward Kijanangoma as King because honestly the crown chose the dear guy, for his father's sake. Honestly I am starting to feel so bad and torn between discussing the law and humanity and every time you dive deeper into this you feel sorry for the queen mother because she is a victim of incompetent legal advisors, while she is fighting her heart out these guys are drowning her into more sorrow with this false hope. Rather than helping her grieve and find closure.
What a principled man Omusunga!
His love for Culture, Customs and Tooro is unmatched. Tooro is very blessed to have principled men like Omusunga.
May God continue to grant him wisdom to lead the process for installation of the most appropriate King for Tooro Kingdom.
To the Queen Mother and the late King Oyo's immidiate family, may God strengthen you during this trying moment, may God grant you grace to accept with honor any decision taken by the Babiito. You raised a great King, he served his people with dignity and he's now rested in honor. You've done your part graciously!
Eternal Repose to the Mighty King of Tooro Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
The only four traditional kingdoms of Uganda. Three are now active.
From left: Omugabe Sir Charles Gasyonga of Ankole, Omukama Sir Tito Winyi IV of Bunyoro, Omukama Sir George Rukidi III of Toro l; and Kabaka Sir Edward Mutesa II of Buganda.
WHY OMUHIKIRWA CANNOT ESCAPE THE OMUSUGA.
THE OMUSUGA HAS THE FINAL SEAL OF WHO IS CORONATED KING. THE ONLY WAY YOU BY PASS HIM IS IF HE DIES AND AN ACTING LEADER OF THE BIITO CLAN IS APPOINTED TO STAND IN FOR THE CORONATION UNTIL THE NEXT KING APPOINTS ANOTHER ONE.
The truth is the prime Minister cannot coronate the King of Tooro, Even H.E cannot Coronate the King of Tooro and currently it's too late for him to abolish the kingdom of Tooro without him abolishing all the other kingdoms and he is a wise man he knows how sensitive that is.
The current Omusuga Coronated The late King Oyo, it was him who verified that he is a indeed his father's son right at birth, it was still him who verified that he is the heir of the throne, it was him who coronated him even when he was young. I don't think this man has the power to reject Oyo's son if truely the boy is officially brought to him for verification as it is supposed to be. I honestly believe that he also doesn't have a justifiable reason not to crown him if procedure is followed. Honestly at this moment it's the Young prince who needs Omusuga's validation as heir to the throne while the Omusuga does not need anybody to validate his role and power, because no one can fire him not even the king, until he dies and another one is appointed by the king.
Whether you like him or not, as long as he lives the next king of Tooro has to be coronated be announced and coronated by him.
Even the new king will not have the power to and authority to fire the Omusuga. He is stuck with him in that position till death.
So let them just prove to the Omusuga and the other Biito clan members that the boy exists and he is Oyo's allow him verify his lineage.
The Omuhikirwa is not a mubiito and cannot be the one to confirm the boy is Oyo's child or a Mubiito.
The president said the king left an Heir he did not say he left a son. The truth is the king without a son cannot decide who his heir to the throne will be, he can decide who the heir to his estate as a Ugandan citizen will be but the one who decides the next king in such cases is the Omusuga.
Any other king of Tooro that might be installed in any other way cannot will not be legitimate and the people of Tooro will not bow down to him. And not even the court of Uganda can change the rules.
Even if you move in circles it doesn't matter whether HE Museveni and MK come down, whoever is to be king has at one point to be signed off by the Omusuga.
@Uganda_Expozed You're just writing out of ignorance
Leave our issues alone man. Our Musuuga is right and addresses everything in accordance with our Constitution. Wefuge
Kaboyo, Omukama Kyebambe III Nyakamatura, and the birth of Tooro.🧵Over the past week, I've received several requests asking whether I know where to find John Nyakatura's Abakama ba Bunyoro-Kitara, looking for clues into Toor's earliest coronation rituals.
Born in Buyaga in 1895, Nyakatura emerged as one of Bunyoro's leading chiefs and historians by the 1930s. The outline for his history had been proposed by Omukama Tito Winyi IV.
The book had several aims: First, it sought to standardise Bunyoro's royal chronologies in writing, which Winyi was worried would be lost to future generations. Second, Nyakatura sought to complicate many of the claims of exceptionalism that Apolo Kaggwa had advanced in Bassekabaka be Buganda. Nyakatura saw Buganda as a former administrative post of the Bunyoro Empire under Ssekabaka Kimera, who was a Munyoro prince. Third, the book explored Tooro’s secession from Bunyoro during the reign of Mukama Kyebambe III Nyakamatura.
The book makes several historical claims about rebellion and intrigue in Bunyoro and Tooro that you may not agree with. Although Tooro’s early history is covered throughout the book, you may wish to begin with the PDF, page 105 (or page 101 in the book). I've shared a few images here.
A few years ago, I digitized John Roscoe's English translation. I am pleased to offer it fully and freely on my resource pages (Look for Nyakatura, John):

On the SAME DAY Europe's OLDEST reigning monarch died in Norway, the world's YOUNGEST reigning monarch died in Uganda...
What are the odds of that??
We found out yesterday that King Harald V of Norway died peacefully at the age of 89; he had ruled the Nordic country for 35 years.
But we've also now learned that Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Uganda passed away yesterday, at 34.
The King of Tooro in western Uganda became king at just 3-years-old, in 1995.
Uganda is governed by an elected president and parliament, but does still have several traditional kingdoms, more of a cultural influence.
The "youngest monarch," who has ruled since 1995, and the "oldest monarch" (in Europe), who has ruled since 1991, both died on the same day...
RIP to both of them... that's just objectively insane!!
The Committee on Physical Infrastructure, chaired by hon_mpaka, has this morning made an impromptu visit to Uganda Railways Corporation headquarters as part of its ongoing probe into the corporation’s management of public assets which include missing wagons, land and expenditures. #CommitteesUg
Sometimes I think love doesn’t always reveal itself through grand gestures or extraordinary words. Sometimes it arrives much more quietly, when we become a place where another soul no longer feels the need to protect itself.
Some nights, we keep a little light on, not because we fear the dark, but because a part of us still hopes someone we lost finds the way back.
Miss you Dad🙏
