President Trump called Brett Kavanaugh's defense during the 2018 hearings Senator Lindsey Graham's best moment. In an interview with CNN, Trump said it was "a top 10, maybe a top 5 moment in the history of the Senate." Graham then accused the Democrats of trying to "ruin the life" of a Supreme Court nominee.

When the president rewrites history to suit himself, calling the party squabble "the greatest moment" rather than working for the good of the country, we again see how power turns into a show of personal sympathy. The people need real solutions, not a revision of old squabbles.
