🚨 Laurence Stewart will leave Chelsea as co-sporting director by mutual consent, as first called by @Matt_Law_DT and @NizaarKinsella. Not an immediate departure, so still expected to be around at some games.
Amicable exit that was decided in the last few weeks following talks between Stewart and Behdad Eghbali.
Paul Winstanley, Sam Jewell and Joe Shields will now all be sporting directors on equal footing.
Winstanley has responsibility for all areas including transfer negotiations, player contracts and different Cobham departments (Medical, Performance, Operations etc.).
Shields oversees the Academy and player pathways and many of his day-to-day tasks align with a traditional technical director.
Jewell also has wider responsabilities across Strasbourg/BlueCo.
Seen as a natural evolution of the sporting model, with discussions over a new structure starting in April and accelerating following the arrival of Xabi Alonso. Eghbali had said in April, "You tweak a model, you improve, you learn...".
Stewart had overseen investment in data analysis, but this area of the business has been used more by Jewell and Shields due to their expertise in scouting and talent ID.
Dave Fallows remains in his current role, which is more remote and advisory comparative to others in the sporting leadership team.
Rubio standing in front of the Acropolis preaching American nationalism. Because nothing says "America First" quite like standing on someone else's civilization. It says a lot about American mythology and their deep inferiority complex

I am really unhappy that Europe is opening its emergency diesel stockpiles to the U.S.
It would be different if it were another American president. But we're bailing out the Trump administration. And for what? He hates us. MAGA hates us. And they will continue to hate us.
The horseshoe theory working hard in Germany today. Hard right and hard left both attacking Merz for going to Kyiv to announce more support and show solidarity. Why they want Russia to win is weird and worrying
So once again they arrived under the Tories
The Tories can scream and shout all they like - the Hamas bodyguard also arrived under the Tories.
As for Reform swear Jenrick and Braverman were in and around the Home Office for a large part of the 2020 - 2023 period (Patel initially)
24 hours after the launch of the campaign, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time and made the effort to contribute to this cause.
Every donation, regardless of its size, is a meaningful act of solidarity and trust. This is particularly important at a time when many people are facing their own financial difficulties, amid economic uncertainty and rising costs of fuel and essential goods.
I feel it is important to provide an update and, above all, to be as transparent as possible about the situation and the needs that may lie ahead.
In the worst-case scenario, what does it actually cost to live in hiding for an indefinite period of time, and to deal with everything that comes with it?
Honestly, I don't know.
The maximum target of the campaign is merely indicative. It reflects the uncertainty surrounding the situation and the fact that, at this stage, it is impossible to know how long this may last or what the total cost will ultimately be.
Living in hiding is not simply a matter of finding somewhere to stay. There are accommodation, food, transportation, documentation, communication and other basic living expenses to consider, all of which become considerably more complicated when normal life is no longer possible. One thing, however, is certain, it will not be cheap.
That is why your support, no matter how small, can be truly crucial. When we do not know how long this situation will last, every contribution helps provide some stability and makes it possible to deal with whatever comes next.
There is also another important matter that needs to be taken into consideration. The legal costs associated with the Football Leaks proceedings in Portugal. At this stage, the figures I am dealing with are:
Case 6255/15.9TDLSB: a minimum of €19,078 in compensation claims.
Case 1178/19.5TELSB: a minimum of €1,000,000 in compensation claims should the acquittal be overturned.
Case 456/20.5TELSB: the legal costs remain undetermined, as the case is still under investigation in Portugal.
These are significant amounts, and they help put the financial reality of the situation into perspective. These are not abstract figures, they concern legal proceedings that continue to have very real financial consequences. Everything is being handled with the greatest possible transparency and in coordination with my legal team.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed financially, shared the campaign, helped spread the word, sent a message, or simply chosen not to remain indifferent.
Not everyone can help a great deal, but when many people contribute what they can, even in small amounts, the collective impact can be enormous. Every contribution matters. And right now, it truly matters!
🚨🚨 𝗠𝗔𝗝𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Several reports from Chelsea sources claim Manchester City offered Chelsea £125M for Enzo Fernández. 🤯
But here’s where it gets funny… 👀
City allegedly wanted Chelsea to officially record the transfer as £80M, despite paying £125M — similar to how some of their previous deals have reportedly been structured.
Chelsea said NO. ❌
No funny business. No creative accounting. No “£80M on paper, £125M in reality.” 😭
That reportedly became a major reason why the deal dragged all the way to the final day of the transfer window.
Chelsea basically said:
“If you’re paying £125M, write £125M. We’re not helping you cook the books.” 💀💀
Manchester City: “It’s just paperwork.”
Chelsea: “Then put the real number on the paperwork.”
