We’re walking the path back step by step with them, with individualized supportive service plans and connections to education, workforce readiness preparation, mentorship, and support.
We’re meeting those who deserve a second chance where they are, with flexible, mobile services and support for their basic immediate needs, from food, clothing and a cellphone to housing assistance and referrals.
Since our founding in 1973, we’ve served those affected by the criminal justice system with critical support services to make reentry easier. Now, after nearly 50 years, we’re envisioning a new era for The Way Back.
Our third pillar initiative is our reentry program. Individuals receive whole-person care and case management with tailored interventions, services and support needed for stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term success.

This year, the Way Back is celebrating 50 years of service to individuals returning home from incarceration. Countless lives have been changed over the last five decades, but there is still work to do. Join us as we take on the years to come by visiting https://t.co/FfhV3lcqLq.
Our second pillar program is our women's reentry initiative. Through this, we provide support for women who have experienced substance abuse and are returning from incarceration. Case managers provide services, including self-sufficiency development and family reunification.
Welcome to our newest board members, Lorenzo Ricketts and Chris Barnes! We look forward to partnering with them to continue to serve our communities. Join us in welcoming and congratulating them!
