Windows have been shattered across the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center by the blast a few minutes ago, and workers in the South Tower report feeling physical heat from hundreds of feet away. There is even smoke in the South Tower.

Nevertheless, public address announcements are ordering workers not to evacuate and return to their desks, as the fire only concerns the North Tower.

This is just coming in: there appears to be a major fire on the upper floors of one of the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.

Reports claim that a small plane, either a Cessna or a private jet, accidentally flew into the tower around the 80th floor, due to either an air traffic control communications error or a malfunction on the aircraft.

The dozens of victims are in our thoughts. We will continue to monitor rescue and repair surrounding this alarming accident.
