Wellow FC 2025/26 Presentation night ✅ Massive thanks from the Gaffer to everyone who had helped us through the year and followed us. Pre season underway shortly and can’t wait to get going again
Clubman of the year- Harry Quinton
Quino was the clear choice for the Gaffer, he is the heart and soul of the team which shows in him just falling short in a two horse race for players player. Played almost every position, gives everything and more, thoroughly deserved 👏
Players Player- Alex Wozza
For all the reasons the gaffer had already said woz lead the votes from his teammates reinforcing the influence he has on the team 🫡
Managers player of the year- Alex Worrall
Wozza was Toms choice no questions asked. Couldn’t ask more from a player in terms of his quality and what he gives the team on the pitch as well as his attitude off the pitch and his level head. Role model
Top Goal scorer- Chaz Green
Chaz netted 19 goals in all competitions this year putting him well ahead of the rest and cementing himself in the Wellow history books forever. He will be hoping to hold onto his all time scorer title next year with another good season
Playmaker- Keane Stark
Was with us in spirit tonight but Keano picked up the most assists through the season proving his constant threat off the wing 🏃
Goal of the season- Chaz Green
Few strikes in contention for this one but Chaz edged it with his strike against seven seas. Luckily for him the gaffer was stood behind him at full back and had a great view of it flying into the top corner ⚽️
Most improved- Barstow
The performances this man put in towards the back end of the season left the gaffer stunned. Stepped up in the absence of others and put a a defensive masterclass, well in George
Most MOTM award- Waggy
Waggy picked up the lost MOTM this season being a crucial part of our back line whilst also being extremely creative going forward
Top Appearance maker- Alfie Burrell
First trophy of the night goes to Buzz for securing 24 appearances out of a possible 25. Massive part of our survival and even played last game of the season with a broken nose.
TRANSFER NEWS!
after fighting off many offers from teams in the top division the club is delighted to announce that Quino will be staying with the Wellow Fc for another season !
Pints all round today courtesy of the gaffer 🍻
However these 3 operating across the back line were outstanding (with it being last game of the season) they all deserved a pint.
Congrats Jake, Barstow and Waggy
FULL TIME!
A hard fought victory sees us jump up to 4th in the table, as we end the season with consecutive wins to fend off a stern Laceby side
Wellow 1-0 Laceby
Well done to wozza for securing today’s MOTM. Playing a full game in the midfield remaining a constant threat going forward with his creativity through his passing, whilst also providing solidity to see out the game and keep the team balanced 👏
