โOverall thereโs an overwhelmingly positive feel about how weโve started off - weโve brought in a really solid mix of exciting young players like Widell and Inoussa but complimented it with the experience of someone like Cameron Burgess, who didnโt look out of place in the Premier League last season.
Galbraith looks a fantastic coup and will be capable of playing in a few positions for us and Ricardo Santos will fill a need as backup CB.
Weโve lost Harry Darling, who was fantastic at the end of last season but I believe weโve arguably upgraded with Burgess.
Melker Widell is probably the pick of the bunch mind, who we actually signed in January but didnโt arrive until this summer. I heard we beat off some serious European interest to get him, including Dortmund. Heโs a full Sweden international as of this year too.
The club are still trying to get Lewis OโBrien back, who was unbelievable for us last season, although thatโs now looking unlikely.
We still need some depth, primarily in the fullback positions, as thereโs no real competition for Key and Tymon. We may need a backup goalkeeper too, as Andy Fisher is available for transfer.
Rumours are floating that a new no.6 is being targeted but thatโs gone very quiet at the moment.
Some will argue that a new striker is needed but I believe Vipotnik and Cullen could be enough for us based on everything else weโve done in this window. I think adding a creative midfielder in Widell and upgrading the wings with Inoussa will lead to more goals.
Overall, a very positive summer. I think weโll flirt with playoffs this season, providing we keep hold of some of our better playersโ

โI think weโve had a good window this year I think if we sign a new Striker maybe even an Oli Mcburnie return, we might mount up a fight for a Play-off spot. But youโre always hopeful so realistically maybe about 7-9th spotโ

โ Transfer business so far : shrewd pickups in Offiah and Small with plenty of potential and most importantly, resale potential. Brought back a fan favourite in Daniel iversen who will undoubtedly be brilliant again in his next 4 years at the club. Pol, JT, and Jebbo offer good squad playing roles with complete confidence in relying on them when called upon.
With another 4-5 players coming in on top of this, I have strong hopes that weโll be in the top half of the league to an absolute minimum. If we bring in the players weโre close to doing so, weโll challenge for the top 6. Weโve fallen flat within the last 5 games of the season, 3 years in a row now. If we find something different in those latter stages, whoโs to say we canโt creep in to that top 6.
With the academy going from CAT 3 to CAT 2, big staff shakeups, new method for scouting and transfers, brilliant management team, amazing new kits with nods to our past, as well as incorporating spudbros and making global news - itโs hard not to be excited by this new project in comparison to most dull seasons weโve faced over the years. Paul Heckingbottom has shaken the meaning of Preston North End and adapted it into a fresh new perspective for us fans to be proud, and excited ofโ

โโข Very happy with early business
โข Pleased with Thompson being a left footed version of Ledson, Jebbison & Valentin adding pace is huge as we struggled to stretch teams last year without it
โข Most excited by Thierry Small & Offiah, young permanents with potential.
โขBig change in direction for recruitment, excited by the change of coaches & recruitment dept
Hopes for next season are realistically upper mid table, depending on whether we get another couple of proven strikers in I could see us pushing for top 10.
Really happy about the Spudbros deal, contrary to what other clubโs fans seem to think, I think itโs potentially huge for the club and gives us the opportunity to increase our fanbase to places we had no chance of reaching priorโ
