“God’s plan is like a beautiful tapestry. And the tragedy of being human is that we only get to see it from the back. With all the ragged threads and the muddy colors. And we only get a hint at the true beauty that would be revealed if we could see the whole pattern on the other side…as God does.”
- Matt Murdock
“The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.’ Saul said to David, ‘Go, and the Lord be with you.’” 1 Samuel 17:37
Life often feels like a series of battles. For you, the fight can seem overwhelming. It’s like facing a giant that never backs down. Yet, the story of David facing Goliath reminds us that God is not distant from our struggles.
David trusted the Lord who had already saved him from dangerous threats. His confidence was rooted not in his own strength, but in the power of God to rescue him. You may feel behind or lost as daily demands and worries weigh on you, making your purpose unclear. In these moments, remember David’s trust in God’s rescuing power.
Your battles are real and tough, but God sees you and has already prepared a way through. The giants in your life don’t define you; instead, they reveal how much you depend on the Lord’s strength. God’s compassion reaches out to you now, inviting you to face each challenge with His courage. You don’t have to fight alone - His presence promises victory over what seems impossible.
Take heart in knowing that the God who has delivered you before continues to watch over you. Step forward today with hope, trusting God to guide your path and heal your heart.
Yea I did read it, multiple times.
The problem I have is your mentality and how you're forming your opinion. IMO I see how you're thinking from a fixed mindset. You're other comment "The only reason ch5 had such a huge player count at the start is because of OG which is a Fortnite original its own past thing, and it did miles better than simpsons etc."
Nostalgia is a powerful drug, it can offer you a sense of safety when the world around you is scary. No matter how bad we'd like to go back in time to experience CH1 CH2 it won't be the same, it will be similar but not the same. People think since hype was high at that time and playercount was higher it must mean we need to go back to that. OG is a thing right now as we speak and the playercount isn't going up higher. That span of time we were learning new things about the game, discoverability was important and you had to go to youtube videos to learn things about the game, turbo building wasn't a thing and we all learned as we went. Now if you were to put a new player into the OG Fortnite we knew, they would probably quit after the first game.. Because they can sprint, and slide in the regular modes now and get dopamine faster in reload and blitz.
The point I'm trying to hammer on is, you can't be a one trick pony (Nostalgia and our memories will decieve us into thinking we should constantly go back to OG). Take streaming for instance, there are hundreds if not thousands of other people live. Why should someone continue to watch you day in and day out if you're going to give them brocolli every day? The hype of the brocolli will eventually fade (I've attached a Google trends graph of Fortnite to show when OG Fortnite was added and Chapter 2 Remix) see how player count tapers off after the nostalgia wears off?
The simpsons miniseason was a success and IMO they should do more miniseasons based on collabs keeping it original to the source content. Blitz, Rocket Racing, and Festival were Fortnite original modes but why don't 1 million people play those modes? How niche can you make something before you throw in the towel. If you stay in a fixed mindset that "they should never try something new and let me keep eating my broccoli" you're going to get bored eventually. Adopting a growth mindset of "I can constantly redefine myself" and still weather the storm I think is more important. But yeah you do have a good point, there were things that OG had employed consistently that felt important. Live events, community, discoverability, story building from content creators. Some of those things may be "little touches here and there" but those little things make all the difference when it comes to having a successful game.
The "metaverse" and the Fortnite story line can exist in the same breath.
Posts recycling player count pictures does more harm than good.
You may have a few good points here, like expanding the gameplay and story (lore/live events).
At the end of the day a product has to make a profit, that word doesn't have to be soulless. It doesn't have to be a dirty word. Exploring how to make a system monetized on a scale this large is an interesting problem to solve.
The problem with opinions is everyone has them, it doesn't make one right more than the other. For instance.. if brainrot keeps players in the game and they spend x amount of time in game.. is that good or fun.. and does more time spent in a game = more money spent by players therefor brainrot is a good mode? or does it take players away from the core BR mode.. If brainrot didn't exist, would time spent in the BR mode translate to more money spent by players? OR is all of what I just said complete bullshit because there's only so many ways to monetize Fortnite?
Most people that download the game and don't understand theres a cost to their free game. They don't have to worry about that because the risk is assumed by someone else. Live service games are an experience that help employ people consistently in the games industry. You can't reboot multiplayer experiences.
So with all that being said, take a breath and enjoy the ride.
@MrLustFn Builds is becoming niche underground gatekept community. Also for someone new to boot up the game and learn builds.. it isn't the same as grinding back in 2019. People don't have the same drive because of the current state of the econonmy and they aren't incentivized.
