In 1886, the first Coca-Cola advertisement was placed in the Atlanta Journal. This unassuming event marked the humble beginnings of what would become one of the world's most iconic and recognized brands.
John Pemberton, a pharmacist and inventor from Atlanta, Georgia, had formulated a unique beverage that he initially called "Pemberton's French Wine Coca." This concoction was not yet the Coca-Cola we know today but was one of the early experiments in the quest to create a refreshing and invigorating drink.
The first advertisement for this new beverage, featuring the intriguing slogan "Delicious! Refreshing! Exhilarating! Invigorating!" was published in the Atlanta Journal. It was a small step into the world of marketing for a drink that would go on to captivate millions around the globe.
Little did anyone know at the time that this initial advertisement would mark the beginning of a global phenomenon. Over the years, Coca-Cola would evolve, dropping the wine from its formula, but retaining the distinctive flavor that would become a beloved part of popular culture.
The Coca-Cola brand has grown to symbolize not just a beverage but a sense of happiness, nostalgia, and refreshment. It has continued to innovate in advertising, from iconic slogans like "It's the Real Thing" to memorable commercials featuring the jolly figure of Santa Claus.
Dying Stars Lead to Stellar Black Holes.
The death of large stars lead to black holes, because a star’s gravity will overwhelm the star’s natural pressure that it maintains to keep its shape. When the pressure from the nuclear reactions collapses, gravity overwhelms and collapses the star’s core, and the star’s other layers are thrown off into space, and this process is also known as a supernova. The remainder of the core collapses, a spot overcome by density and without volume – a black hole.
The First Documented Woolly Mammoth Skeleton Was Discovered in 1799, a hunter discovered a woolly mammoth skeleton entombed in permafrost on a river bank in Siberia. In 1806, the skeleton was taken to the Zoological Institute of the Russian Science Academy, where they put the pieces together.

While some people see video games as a means of living out fantasy, the truth is who we are in the virtual world largely reflects who we are in the real one. For instance, one piece of research has found that a player’s real values match their in-game decisions, suggesting that their true personality often gets reflected in a game scenario. There is also evidence that our ability to lead is strongly reflected in the way we form relationships in video games
Being happy with yourself is the practice of feeling satisfied with your identity, progress, and situation in the present moment. Happy people still have problems or growth opportunities in their lives, but they allow themselves to feel proud and comfortable with themselves right now
When you empty a bottle the water leaves, but air has to take its place, so in the narrow neck of the bottle the air has to pass around the water. If you just turn the bottle upside down this happens in a series of 'glugs' as some water falls out, then a bubble of air passes up the neck of the bottle then another lump of water falls out. This means that the water has to speed up then slow down every 'glug' which is a very slow process.
The spinning water leaves a path up the centre for the air to enter
If you spin the liquid it is thrown out to the sides of the bottle, leaving a gap up the middle which the air can travel. So although the path of the water is much longer it will still empty faster.
Of course an even faster way of emptying the bottle would be to drill a hole in the base of the bottle so the air could get in directly, though that would be cheating.

The epithalamus is a small region of the diencephalon consisting of the pineal gland, habenular nuclei, and stria medullaris thalami.
The function of the epithalamus is to connect the limbic system to other parts of the brain. Some functions of its components include the secretion of melatonin by the pineal gland (involved in circadian rhythms), and regulation of motor pathways and emotions.
One of the striking characteristics of large-brained animals is their longevity. Dolphins, with their sizable brains, enjoy long lives, allowing them ample time to develop complex social dynamics. Fraser’s dolphins, which can be found in deep tropical waters, live for around 18 years. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States, common bottlenose dolphins live for at least 40 years but some female dolphins reach lifespans of 60 years or more.
Their cerebral cortex, the region associated with complex cognitive processes in humans, exhibits a level of convolution and structure similar to our own. And within the intricate web of dolphin cognition lies a specialized type of brain cell called spindle neurons. These remarkable cells are associated with advanced cognitive abilities, including recognition, memory, reasoning, communication, perception, adaptation to change, problem-solving, and understanding. This suggests that dolphins have the neurological capacity for advanced cognitive abilities.
The USA makes up 40% of the worldwide pharmaceutical industry.
The U.S. pharmaceutical industry is the largest in the world, making up about 40% of the worldwide drug development, manufacturing, and revenue generation. And half of the world’s top 10 pharmaceutical companies are in America, including the headquarters for Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Merck and Co., AbbVie, Eli Lilly and Co., and Abbott Laboratories. In fact, Johnson & Johnson’s revenue alone reached $82.6 billion in 2020.
Jellyfish are 95% water
Surprisingly, jellyfish are mostly made up of water, not jelly. This is why they look so different in the water than out of it.
They don’t have brains, hearts, or lungs
Jellyfish are very simple organisms. Their bodies are made up of just three layers— the outer epidermis, a gelatinous middle layer called the mesoglea, and the inner gastrodermis.
@Rainmaker1973 Saturn has more moons than any other planet in the Solar System
Saturn has 82 confirmed moons. There are probably more that we haven’t discovered yet.
The largest one is named Titan – it’s so big it’s actually bigger than Mercury.
