Dear Uncle Cyril,

I wanted to send a postcard, but I need to tell you what happened.

I try to get my 5km of "walking" done in the mornings using my Healthwalker at home. (Remember that sweesh sweesh thing from Verimark? That thing.) It's not the scenic route and extremely boring, but it gets the job done.  Yes, I have an old fashioned Healthwalker!  Don't judge me!  It's low impact, good for my back and does not use electricity.  (Don't tell Eskom for obvious reasons. They'll make me register it on some website.)

Well, guess who fell off the Healthwalker this morning?  It was low impact until I didn't pay attention and lost my balance...then boom...all the impact. I'm over 40! I already crack like a glow stick and according to my brother I'm so pale I glow in the dark.

I'm not telling you everything, LOL.  I wasn't holding onto the handlebars.  I was holding my book.  (I told you this type of walking is boring.) You know how drunk people fall and somehow never spill their drink? That was me, lying on the floor at 6am. The definition of "bones in the light." I was still holding my book and I didn't even lose my place.  Impressive if you ask me.

I want to say, "Don't worry, I'm fine," but that would be a lie.  The last time I hit the ground this hard, I got planted by a horse.  I now have trust issues, bruises, aches and pains.

I will learn nothing from this.  I will try this again tomorrow.
