@RhaenyraTruther@ReMhdd@inotcarly The unhatched egg of a boy who would’ve been 5th in line to the throne had Rhaenyra successfully ruled. I’m just happy this line came back to bite them, as Maelors egg didn’t hatch.
@delanzzo@NodeOfWeb3 But Alyn isn’t the norm and we don’t know exactly how everyone felt about him as it is a History book. AKOTSKs says that the faith still views legitimized bastards as treacherous and untrustworthy.
@delanzzo@NodeOfWeb3 AKOTSK establishes that you still have the taint of bastardry even after you’ve been legitimized. Alyn ends up marrying his Baela as a last resort for Baela, it wasn’t a formal bethrol or a requested marriage and him becoming a Lord was an issues w some Veleryons.
@ADropOfMagic This happened for Aegon,Aemond, and Heleana. I do think Daeron had a dragon egg b/c I can’t imagine Alicent not demanding one for Daeron if Jace got one.
@DaeronTargtower The Kingsguard was created to protect the king and guard his secrets, their allegiance is to him first. If them maintaining their vow of chasity wasn’t important then Lucamore Strong wouldn’t have been gelded and sent to the wall for breaking his vows and oaths.
@DaeronTargtower Criston took a vow of chastity, if he told his Commander that Rheanyra snuck out, came back drunk, & tried to sleep w him nothing would’ve happened. Especially since Otto still would’ve told Viserys that Daemon & Rheanyra were caught together, everything would’ve been okay.
@Damiar0s He’s a bad guy who suffers from paranoia & abandonment issues, so he does bad things that ensures his family will always stay w him & prevent powerful people from attacking his family. But through his actions he creates villians & causes his siblings to hate him.
@wynafrydly@ABD_ELTH It alls goes back to the Great Council, where it was decided that women couldn’t rule the iron throne, it’s why everyone believed Daemon was Viserys heir not Rheanyra. Jaeahera couldn’t be Aegons heir b/c Aegon the younger was still around.
@bhangbhangducx But that was never his verbal issue with the marriage. He just says that they don’t have anything in common and that Helena’s an idiot and in the book and show Aegon married Heleana when he was 14 and has bastards by the age of 14, so he doesn’t have an issue with sex.
@scaredycat102@Melaritor@percysarya That happened yrs after Rheanyra was born when everyone believed that the GC ruling meant woman can’t be Queen, the book also states that lords did grumble when they were made to swear fealty to Rheanyra. Despite Andal law men would rather an uncle/ cousin to rule than a daughter
@scaredycat102@Melaritor@percysarya Jaeaherys made his feelings about female inheritance clear, Daenearys wasn’t given an egg but Aemond was,he titled Aemon as Prince of Dragonstone, he said woman can’t sit on the iron throne, and he the Great council was b/w Viserys and Laenor.
@thecocomonk@percysarya No, because people elected Viserys to be Jaeaherys heir. If anything it would validate his claim as his father was made heir over Rheanys bypassing Andal law.
@Melaritor@percysarya Girls can’t inherit the iron throne, there’s a reason why it Daemon was Viserys heir and not Rheanyra from her birth. Jaehaerys said that woman can’t sit the iron throne and it’s why Rheanya wasnt Viserys heir and her being his heir was an afterthought
@ADropOfMagic That’s not how the scene plays out, also how can you say he’s not a good fighter when he would’ve won the fight. Daemon didn’t lose on account of his skill.
@ADropOfMagic George also depicts the same thing about Daemon, I’m not arguing over semantics I’m discussing how the scene plays out. If Daemon hadn’t decided to showboat he would’ve won, him losing had nothing to do with his lack of skill.
@ADropOfMagic First it was that Cole beat him, not it’s just a joust and Daemon lost when he got unhorsed. Cole unhorsing Daemon was never the argument.
