Former first lady Michelle Obama says she’s embracing her “last chapter” as a podcaster while recording a live episode with her brother at SXSW London: “The choices I make now are going to be for me — not for my husband, my kids, the country, the world.”
“We've been out of the White House for 10 years, and I swear it went like that. My daughters [Malia and Sasha Obama] will be 28 and 25 this year. So this next chapter I want to be mindful about it, so that it doesn't just slip away. I want to be clear about how I'm spending my time, how much of it I'm giving away to others… The choices that I make now are going to be for me, not for my husband, not for my kids, not for the country, not for the world, because this is it. And at some point, it's important for our generation to step out of the way and be prepared to step out of the way so that the next generation can really sit in these seats."

At the time of recording "Beauty & the Beast" (1991), Celine Dion was actually considered an "up & coming" singer. Disney was concerned she may not have been a "strong enough" pull to do the song alone. They asked the seasoned and well-known R&B star, Peabo Bryson to sing the duet along with Celine. It became a massive hit and it would also win them a Grammy for the song.
Peabo Bryson & Celine Dion truly gave us one of the most magical Disney theme songs of all time with "Beauty & the Beast". Peabo's signature sound and soothing tones will definitely be missed, but never forgotten.
All eyes are on Lesley Stahl and Bill Whitaker's future at "60 Minutes" after CBS News fired Scott Pelley.
Their decision will be an emotional one, says one source: “I think they feel like if they leave, there’s nothing left of '60.'”

Michelle Obama's style was an expression of intention—lifting up new designers, and shopping where everyone shops. Joy. Color. Confidence. A reminder that no one gets to define beauty for you.

Humbled and honored tonight to return from whence I came @SHSPrincipalGKs (Sterling High School, class of 1985) to be recognized for my life's achievements and inducted into the 'Alumni Hall of Fame' at my high school is a surreal experience. It's profoundly sobering to realize that 41 years have passed since I last walked those halls this June. I'm thrilled to join the class of 2026 at the Senior Dinner on and the awards ceremony that follows. I look forward to sharing my heartfelt remarks, gifting some of my new books, and offering some timeless wisdom that I wish someone had shared with me when I was 17 and graduating in 1985. Thank you Sterling Knights Sterling High School.

Paddington's creator, author Michael Bond, recalled seeing Jewish children arriving in Britain during World War II with name cards around their necks and suitcases in their hands. That inspired the beloved bear, and a Rhode Island artist is helping to keep the story alive.
