H. Pylori often sets the stage for SIBO. It lowers stomach acid which normally acts as a gatekeeper to kill off bacteria before they reach the small intestine. Once acid is low, bacteria can migrate upward and overgrow-classic SIBO setup. Recommend having her tested for H. Pylori and SIBO when you see the GI doc.
